So first off let me say that Freddy's is my favorite burger joint and I know that this location is pretty popular so it's usually a bit busy. But this visit was terrible. First the drive through line was crazy slow, but there didn't seem to be many folks inside the store so one would think they'd be able to shift from walk up customer service to help in the drive through customer service (but IDK). For the record I ordered only a drink and fries - but even then when I got up to the window I STILL had to wait even longer. Asked for ketchup and was told they are all out. WTH how do you run out of ketchup? You mean management STILL hasn't figured out the stores supply needs? Or is there also a global storage to ketchup that I was unaware of? Anyhow so the guy offers the fry sauce which I said no thank you to. Then he finally handed me a massive bag with my small fries (wondering if the massive bag meant they also ran out of small bags??). Then I'm off to my appointment - but oh man no straw? Ok, no problem -good thing I'm skilled at drinking from a cup without a straw and lid while driving! 😜 Then there were the fries..... Super salty! Good thing I didn't have a lid on my cup so I could drink big gulps to help with the taste! Not to mention I was given 3 packages of fry sauce that I said I didn't want (no wonder they run out of supplies when they give you way more than you'd need even IF you wanted it!). Oh, last thing... No napkins in my massive bag (maybe they ran out of those too?). Despite this visit being an absolute train wreck, I'll still be going to Freddy's... Just maybe not this store. Y'all really need to work on your supply chain, consistency of food quality, and a bit of customer service. 😒
Follow up to this review. I was pleased to receive a very long response addressing the issues I faced from the general manager of this facility. Hoping my next visit (as I said I love Freddy's)...
Read moreMy husband and I have a tradition of driving from El Paso, TX to Las Cruces, NM for some delicious frozen custard from Caliche’s; formerly Scoopy's. Needless to say that is quite a long ride out for some frozen custard, so we've been searching for a place we can frequent in our city. Sadly Freddy's Is Not It. We ventured to the Eastside location on Zaragoza Blvd for our first, and last, taste of Freddy's Frozen custard. According to the GOOGLE Reviews their frozen custard is exceptional so we chose to dine in. The restaurant was clean and smelled of grilled burgers. They do not have a large selection of toppings for the custard but that wouldn't be an issue if it was 1st rate frozen custard. We ordered a PBC&B Cement and a double scoop of chocolate and vanilla frozen custard in a cup. The Cement was watery, not at all thick. The scoops were generous and the chocolate flavor was very rich. However, after a few bites I could tell it was made from a mix. It lacked the eggy and creamy flavor and consistency we're used to getting from Caliche’s. I threw away most of the chocolate and vanilla scoops away. My husband drank the Cement, no spoon needed. After a few minutes, on our way home, we could taste a very unpleasant artificial flavor in our mouths, disappointedly different from the pleasant aftertaste and creamy feel left on the roofs of our mouths after enjoying some Caliche’s. We would've been happier having Blizzards and ice cream from the DQ across the street. We don't mind budgeting for gasoline and frozen custard for the real deal. You fell way short on the frozen custard front, Freddy's. We will not be returning. Unfortunately for you, Caliche’s has set a very...
Read moreHappy New Year everyone! So it's Jan 1st and it's very cold, my boyfriend and I always go to the same place to eat however we decided that this year we would try different places and Freddy's was first (we put little papers in a jar and picked out) , I was super excited because I read good reviews. Being our first we got down to check the menu thoroughly, the young man taking our order was very nice and equally polite. I ordered the double without cheese and asked for large fries and my boyfriend ordered the patty melt meal and a chili cheese dog. We received our order pretty quick and man was I excited because I just wanted to go home and devour my meal but when we got home and opened our burgers it was a bit of a mess, both burgers were sloppily assembled but what really ticked me off was the meat, it was very dark and dry. The meats looked like they were not fresh at all, very tasteless! I know my meats because I manage a restaurant close by and honestly I never ever complain about any restaurants because this is an honest job and I understand there's bad days (only because an employee is not giving their all) but I have to say I'm very disappointed, I paid almost $30! When I saw the menu and all it has to offer I quickly thought this would be a great place to bring my family, the music is great and the place is cool but my...
