Honestly, this rating would have been five stars based on the food alone—which was AMAZING. However, our server was awful. I’m sure everyone else is great, but she was politely condescending and sketchy. First off, we didn’t get the appetizer that we ordered, but something else she “heard” us say. It was one of the samplers, but I specifically spoke with her about the nachos (the other one didn’t come with, nor did it come with chicken wings which we also wanted). She had been coming back and forth to us about what kind of meat we wanted and we were under the impression she was trying to up-sell the nachos. I asked if it was extra, unsure about why, and she looked at me funny, but said that it came with it. It was just confusing. Well, when the appetizer came out it was wrong and I had asked her about it. She said “that’s what you ordered, and you said yes when I read the order back to you” in a way saying it was our fault when she just said it was a sampler we ordered—I’m sorry we didn’t know the names of the actual sampler? Anyway, my husband also asked for things on the side, she didn’t “hear” him when he asked twice. And when I ordered avocado thinking it was like slices of avocado, she said it was there on my plate. It’s an avocado sauce of sorts. I asked about it and she kept saying “do you want guacamole?” I said “no, avocado” and she said, while pointing at the sauce, “this is avocado.” I asked her about the fruit itself and not a sauce and she said, “you mean guacamole.” I said, “no the fruit that makes guacamole, but like, sliced” and she essentially insisted that avocados weren’t it’s own separate ingredient that makes guacamole. It was a confusing conversation because I had to explain that avocado was a fruit. Oh and our short ribs from the sampler we didn’t originally order, was a sticker, still stuck on the meat. Pic included. We still ate it because it was so good. The last thing the waitress did that was sketchy was instead of changing the order on the receipt, she said she would give us cash for the difference. She didn’t change the appetizer or remove the other items she said she would comp. She gave us her tip money for the difference. We assume it was to not get in trouble, but whatever. Read moreWe came here because it was suggested by friends and they have great reviews. We really were looking forward to the micheladas, their specialty.
We got seated immediately when we walked in and the restaurant was half busy but with, what seemed, like plenty of staff. We waited about 12 minutes before our server Diana came to greet us. She was pleasant, took our order drinks and food since we had plenty of time to look everything over. Then we waited.. After about another 10-15 mins she came with just our beers, no water and no micheladas. She said your drinks will be right out. 10 mins later we got our drinks, still no water which we asked for 2 times at this point. By this time we were frustrated after waiting 30 + minutes for drinks alone so we asked to cancel the food order and get our check for the drinks. She apologized for the wait and said they make them individually so they take long. We explained to her that in the time we were there 3 other tables had been sat and gotten their drinks with other servers, those drinks being micheladas. There really was no excuse for ours taking so long we just received poor service from our server Diana.
She brought our check, we paid and left. No manager came by to check on us, apologize or try to rectify the situation. Either she tried to completely hide this situation from the manager or they just didn’t care.
We will definitely not be returning or recommending this place to anyone.
Edit 5/10/19 - Management reached out on google reviews so it can seem like they’ve made an effort to rectify the situation but they have not. They haven’t even attempted to contact me to resolve this problem, they simply replied to my review so it looks like they care....
Read moreThe ONLY reason I’m giving this place 2 stars and not one is because the food was delicious. Other than that, I would say customer service was subpar. We came in about 30 minutes before closing so I understand that we had to order quickly. We sat at the bar because the hostess told us the floor was closed. After sitting down, no one greeted us for about 5 minutes... further limiting our time to order and eat. This being our first time there we were very disappointed. And having never been there and looking for a quick bite to eat we just had a few questions. The bartender (who did not introduce herself) was quick and rude from the get-go, so decided not to ask questions about the menu, but rather for 2 minutes to look over the menu. the bartender said “ummmm.. I guess.. we close right now.” Regardless, we ordered quickly and received our food, never were we asked if we needed anything else to compliment the meal but only if she could drop off the check when the food was brought out. I ordered a Clamato with my food (which was served) without a chili/salt rim and when I asked why it didn’t have it she said it could not be dressed because she already closed the bar... Why let people’s come in if you will not treat them as your guest. Why let them sit down if you will not give them equal service when they are paying the same price just like anyone else?? When I went to speak to the manager for some salt and pepper he seemed to not know English....
