Kaizen Sushi — Restaurant in El Paso

My marriage was hanging by a thread. We were one awkward dinner away from Googling “amicable divorce lawyers near me.” Communication had turned into grunts. Date night was just us staring at separate walls. Love? That was a seasoning we forgot to use.

Enter: Kaizen Sushi, the unlikeliest of relationship counselors—armed not with therapy degrees, but with Crazy Monkey Rolls and spicy mayo.

We sat down at the table, emotionally distant but physically close—classic married couple energy. No expectations. Just silence, resentment, and a laminated menu.

Then the Kaizen Fried Roll arrived. It looked at us with golden, crunchy optimism. One bite in, and my wife made eye contact for the first time in weeks. Second bite, she laughed. Laughed. The kind of laugh I hadn’t heard since our honeymoon when I got sunburned in the shape of a flip-flop.

The Volcano Roll brought the heat back—literally and metaphorically. As the lava sauce ignited our taste buds, so too did a smoldering ember of emotional reconnection. “This is amazing,” she said. I don’t know if she meant the roll or our rediscovered spark—but I took the win.

By the time the Crazy Monkey Roll hit the table, we were holding hands like teenagers in a Nicholas Sparks novel. Dessert wasn’t even on the menu—it was the rekindled fire...

Food is delicious!! But service is horrible! I been twice to this restaurant but the service both times was horrible!!!

Went here for the first with my toddler who is 3 years old And my wife Order a couple sushi rolls and nuggets for my kid. They took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes to bring the nuggets when we order them as an Appetizer because my Kid was really hungry! All the food was deliver to us but the nuggets didn't! After checking on the status for the order of nuggets waitress stated that they where making them! When the nuggets arrived 1 hour after all the food the nuggets where burn !!! Like they forgot and try to fried them fast as possible.

The second time was my wife and me We arrived to the place! They weren't busy either like the last time. Sit down and order drinks, Order appetizers and couple of sushi rolls Rolls and drinks arrived But appetizer and rice didn't arrive until 1 hour from the other food arriving!

What kind of services is this ??? We order food to eat everything together Not wait 1 hour in between meals and appetizers Are not appetizer are to be served before the main meal??

Food is really good just services really sucks They have just 1 person doing the waitress job and...

It's so good that I want to give it a low rating, so they still have a table for us, haha! We go to this place pretty often, and their lunch menu on weekdays are SOO worth it! But if you can't get that, their Las Vagas Roll is pretty great. Make sure to check out their kids' menu, my 2 year old loves it! And their happy hour have a sake boom that my husband loves. I'm not a huge fan of the female server sometimes, but I will include the gentleman's name that we like when we go next! Hope this review helps. Best sushi in El Paso so far! They also have military discount!

Update on 2/11/23 The server we LOVE goes by Beto! He is always so respectful, accommodating, and has a positive and fun attitude towards my little one. Thank you, Beto, for the amazing experience and great food...
