Great tasting food but the wait is something they could work on. I stopped by to quickly pick up a couple burritos, but what I was hoping would be a quick stop turned into a 25 minute wait. They were busy, but not packed. There were maybe 3 people ahead of me waiting and 4 customers ordered after me. They have typical El Paso burrito place items, but this place has flour gorditas. Think, pita pockets but filled with the usual burrito fillings. They have a nice sized dining room but there was only one person eating in, it was mid-morning, so who knows how busy they get at lunch, but their process is slowing them down. They had 3 people working, one on the cash register, one on the gordita station, and a drive thru guy, and a 4th maybe even 5th person (I couldn’t see back there) in the kitchen grinding away making Gorditas and tortillas to be filled by the people out front. The front of the house is where they’re failing. The Gordita/burrito building station is very small, just big enough for one person to man. But they had all 3 people trying to help out and they were on top of each other causing unnecessary delays. The cashier was doing his best to help by marking the gorditas as they were wrapped, but he was taking up space that he shouldn’t have and asking “what’s this, and what’s this?” Distracting the girl rolling burritos. The drive thru attendant was also running back and forth trying to make his orders ahead of the to-go’s and the dine-in’s. To the point where he was taking tortillas and gorditas that the poor girl who was trying to keep up with orders was making that we’re for other orders. What they need is someone to tell them to stick to their jobs and not try to be the hero. Yes everyone can appreciate help, but in this kind of setting when you jump in and try to help you might be doing more harm than good. Allow the burrito roller to make them in order as they come in, ask her if she needs any help to finish the orders, like what drinks will they need? As the cashier, instead of marking the gorditas, look at the tickets and maybe get salsas and sodas bagged and ready for the upcoming orders. And as the drive thru person, when you come and grab items and start putting together your customers orders you are throwing off the person who is supposed to put the orders together. She asked for 3 tortillas from the kitchen, which they got for her, then the drive thru guy came and used 2 tortillas for an order he had, so when she went to make the next ticket the tortillas she had asked for were not there. She had to literally run back to the kitchen and ask for them again. Later she had to run to the kitchen again, this time to roll the cart over with the cooler that holds the premade Gorditas to be filled by the kitchen. (This could’ve been done by the drive thru guy) Again this is all just inexperience in this fast paced setting, I’m sure they have an A team that usually works, because I’ve been to this location before and I’ve never seen guys working, but this time there were 2 guys and 1 girl. Maybe that’s the problem, guys always want to be the hero for a girl in distress, so they jump in and slow things down. Just let her work, and orders will come out in the order they come in. Maybe she’s new, and the best way to get fast is to go through the fire. I will definitely go back again they make some good food and it is worth the wait, but be prepared for the wait, and you...
Read moreOk, we came to this place because there is big Agua Fresca sign out front of this building. We were on the hunt for Aguas Frescas (we are from Far East side) we could have gone to El Comenta (it’s across the street) but when you see a big agua fresca sign out front you would asume they had authentic Aguas frescas and a variety to choose from. They had my SO waiting in line until they counted their change when they could have just taken his order. (No ones else was behind). The ONLY option they had was Lemonada….. common every and any Mexican place sells lemonada whh have a sign for just lemonada. Ok. Lastly the lemonada isn’t even authentic. It’s not freshly squished limes or even lime juice that comes in the bottle. This taste just like the Country Time Lemonade powder they sell at the stores….. so so sad. I’ve worked at Mexican restaurants and we at least had the courtesy to say if the lemonada was not natural…. Very highly disappointed. It’s not about the money it’s about the deception and waste of time and ‘Antojo’ I mean it’s whatever to us we are always trying new places but I’d like to post this reviews for others to view or for the restaurant to make some much needed simple changes. (Not...
Read moreHardly ever review any place but one employee was very lovely in the beginning, until they forgot an order and mislabeling almost everything. Instead of telling us we can't get a refund over the phone they made us drive allll the way back with the food(cold at that point). They gave no receipt for our order, they claimed they gave us a certain order on cam when they didn't(it was for my little brotha), manager was actually rude instead of just fixing the situation in a professional manner and she was just smiling/laughing at our frustration. Just a heads up I work in a restaurant and that's foul for customer service. We just left silently in disappointment and had our cold lunch that day. Mum was very frustrated but we planned on never coming back. (It was actually out first visit too) So take what you can get from this at your own risk. Just double check everything if you do. Also give thanks to that one great employee who gave us coffee she was cool. Good...
