NY Deli Inc — Restaurant in El Paso

I've attempted to dine at NY Deli twice, and both experiences left me incredibly disappointed. The first time, a few months ago, I arrived around 11 pm, well within their stated closing hours of 2 am on Fridays and Saturdays. However, I was turned away and told they were closed, I assumed it was an anomaly, perhaps due to a slow night.Giving them another chance, I returned today at 8pm, only to be met with the same disappointment. This time, I was told they were closed for 30 minutes, leaving me baffled and frustrated yet again.Consistency and reliability are key in the restaurant industry, and unfortunately, NY Deli fails to deliver on both fronts. As a customer, I expect to be able to rely on a restaurant's stated operating hours, and being turned away at the counter during supposed opening times is unacceptable. Super excited this opened here. It really feels like a NY bodega which is to say that they have everything, both on the healthy or the indulgent side of things. I personally had the philly cheese steak, and not only was it delicious, it wasn't unhealthy and had good fresh veggies to go with the grilled steak and cheese. While I was there, they happened to have a little extra from two smoothies, so I got to try the Mr Moe's and the Tropical and they were both delicious. There's a ton of sandwiches and salsa and sides and desserts and corner store staples like drinks and chips and snacks too. i’ve come here multiple times as a commuting student and i have literally never been disappointed by this cute lil joint. I’m not sure of the cook’s name but he knocks it out of the park every single time whether it’s the smoothies, sandwiches, wraps, burgers, or the halal bowls. the meat is always perfectly seasoned and tender, the vegetables are crisp, the smoothies always got that fresh zing to them, and the sauces are always yummy.
