Marina's German Bakery — Restaurant in El Paso

Please, please, please read this before you go to this bakery. I had the most unpleasant visit here during my first time and I need everyone to know before you go. Let me start by saying this has nothing to do with the business itself more a certain customer that is set to be a regular at this establishment.

There is a regular customer who does visit this establishment that is said to be very rude to other customers very rude to staff and I feel like nobody is doing anything about it or saying anything so I am trying to bring this to light. During my first visit to this bakery I was very excited and I wanted to get some great mother's Day treats and have a good time and look at all of the goodies that this establishment has to offer unfortunately immediately walking through the doors I was met with hostility by a regular customer who again is said to frequent this establishment. I was a little confused as to where the line was about to start so I asked the lady that was in line if she actually was in line she looked at me and said "obviously I'm in line obviously how can you not see this". She then went on to tell me that I was in the mood for trouble and telling me that I was a punk.. during this time my shorts were falling down so I pulled them up and she then proceeded to call me a punk who always pulls up his shorts and that's what my people do.

I could not believe that I was experiencing this I honestly thought it was a joke until I got to the counter and explained to the worker about my encounter with the very rude German lady to which a couple workers then came from behind and started to tell me their own stories with woman and letting me know how rude she had been to them and how rude she is been to other customers that they have witnessed one worker actually even told me that every time she sees her she tells her that she looks like she's high..

This woman is set to frequent this place be on the lookout for her she has a very thick German accent she is very rude you will know right away who she is if you have an encounter with her. be very careful. I did buy some baked goods after she left but I don't think that I will be visiting this bakery anymore just so I don't have to have that type of...

Ordered a cake for my wife's birthday. My wife very much wanted sweet buttercream frosting. I ordered 3 weeks in advance a chocolate cake with buttercream filling and Vanilla buttercream frosting outside. They assured me they would take care of it and I set it to be picked up the morning of my wife's birthday. I went back 2 other times in person to verify they had it correct, I wanted my wife to get what she wanted. A week before i sent a message in Facebook messenger to verify once more they had the order correct and wrote out exactly what kind of cake, filling and frosting. They said yes they had it and it would be ready. Picked up the cake on the morning of her birthday and it looked pretty. Cut into it that night to serve to my wife and the cake had whipped filling and whipped frosting. Not sweet and not buttercream. My wife was really disappointed as was I. I don't know what else I could have done, i would have thought 2 in person follow up's and one message would have been sufficient. I spend $32 on a 10 inch round cake that no one would eat. I messaged them about mistake 3 days ago and still no response. Do not waste...

I used to love this place but I have been trying to call for the last week and it kept telling me that my call could not be completed as dialed I asked around if people knew what was happening I was told that they were having phone problems changing carriers. Honestly that just seems unacceptable for a business. How can you not be reachable by your clientele? Not even by the website or by phone number. We honestly thought that they had just closed down and moved away. They should have posted something on their website They could have had an alternative temporary phone numberposted on the website. Because of this I had to attain a very special cake somewhere else which of course did not compare in any measure only to find out that all of this was happening on the day I picked up the other cake. It was very disappointing and I feel I'm not the only one who has been let down by the circumstance of their phone issues. I certainly hope that they get this fixed soon. What a lack of management and preparation for the transition of phone service. I can only imagine the financial loss because of this oversight...
