Ostioneros Montes in El Paso is a fantastic spot that brings the authentic feel of a Mexican mariscos place right to Texas. The moment you step in, you're greeted with an atmosphere that feels like a dive restaurant you’d find off any street in Mexico. Basic tables and chairs add to the charm, making it a perfect place for a laid-back, no-frills dining experience. The vibe here is amazing and reminds me so much of my home in Florida. It’s the perfect spot if you're craving mariscos, Mexican-style oysters, and a cold beer. The flavors are authentic and fresh, truly capturing the essence of Mexican coastal cuisine. The staff is friendly and the service is top-notch, ensuring you have a memorable visit every time. If you're in El Paso and looking for a place that offers great food and an atmosphere that transports you to Mexico, Ostioneros Montes is a must-visit. It’s a gem that will not disappoint!

Food was good! Whole fried fish was a bit undercooked. Breaded fish was crispy. It’s a small cute hole in the wall. Parking is in the back of the building which can be a little tricky at night. The cleanliness was 3/5 that day. The drinks are a bit limited. They don’t sell beer and they also didn’t mention it to us that it’s BYOB. (I wasn’t told about that option, I saw others bringing in their own.

Im not the biggest fan of mariscos, but my brother invited me so we I went, I got the mojarra frita and a coctel de Cameron, both were delicious. The waitress was very attentive and the atmosphere feels like juaritoz style restaurant...would really recommend this place.

Just relocated back to El Paso Texas 3 weeks ago and this used to be one of my favorite places but when I went the quality was no longer the same. Ran down, quality of service and food could have been alot better. I ordered a seafood cocktail and it was not good. Just didn't seem fresh. I think that's what made me so sick to my stomach for 2 days... My Sister-in-law ordered a cheeseburger which I specifically advised the order taker to make sure not to put avocado on anything for her because she was allergic to it and what do they do? They smother the burger with it on the bottom of it. Being that we specifically asked for no avocado twice and she even confirmed the order we didn't check the burger and she bit in to it and I saw it oozing out after tge fact. She started having a reaction and I called the server over and asked her why would they do that? She apologized and offered milk or said we could get benadryl. Unbelievable very upset and disgusted with this place. Oh and the spoon they brought me was dirty. Showed the server and she apologized. Um m m... I won't ever go back. Sad to say because I referred it to...

I do understand that economy is bad and that businesses need to make a profit with take out orders. What I don't understand is why is Ostieoneria Montes raising the prices so much. We ordered 2 large soups and 2 large shrimp cocktails. The total price was $40. I have ordered that same thing before and it was less expensive. The fish soup being mostly soup and the cocktail didn't have much shrimp, like only 4 shrimps. It's prices are way higher than at La Isla or Senor fish which are restaurants with full menu and by the way are closed. I was wanting to help this little hole on the wall but I'd rather help La Pila Restaurant with better food selection for less price. I dont recommend this place to get something to eat. You'll walk out of there with both your pockets and stomach empty. I will...
