Avoid this Speedys Pizza if you want to steer clear of being poisoned by flies. I visited on a Tuesday and ordered my usual, as I am a regular customer. This was the first time I experienced such poor treatment and dishonesty. When I picked up my food, there were flies everywhere, particularly around the ingredients section used for the pizza. The female manager provided me with two false names and treated me poorly. I inquired about the flies near the food and whether the food was contaminated; she assured me it was fresh. When I asked to speak to the manager, she claimed to be the general manager and said she couldn't do anything about it, also giving me the second fake name. As I left, she continued to put in her earbud and make pizza dough. It was evident that flies were swarming around the ingredients where they prepare the food. I witnessed them crawling on the trays. I paid for my supreme pizza, took it home, and found a dead fly on it. As a respected Sergeant in the army, this was my favorite location, which my colleagues and I frequented. I will never return, especially with a rude, entitled female manager who has multiple names. I saved my pizza and receipt and will be reporting this to the health department next week when I have time. It used to be my favorite spot, but it has become unsanitary and disrespectful. Stay away from this location if you want to avoid being poisoned by flies. This is my first review; if the owners want to reach out, I would be more than willing to speak to the person truly in charge....
Read moreMoved to ELPTX in late 2020 and was happy to find a decent pizza place, close to my home. However, the customer service and quality has declined over the past two years. The pizza is dry, toppings are few and the staff has become increasingly rude and unconcerned about true customer service. A 'yes ma'am' from the person behind the counter, accompanied by a glare is more frightening than reassuring or inviting when reporting an issue. We have recently ordered four separate times giving them the benefit of the doubt, including tonight and have finally called it quits with Speedys - Monroe location. In fact, we returned the pizza this time and requested a refund. The next pizza we buy will be from the market or commisary and baked in our own oven. I'm sure the frozen pizza quality will be better. Whomever owns this place, enjoy the run because If your present level of service and product quality continue this way. you'll probably continue having good business from customers who are desperate for pizza. Just hope to goodness they never taste a good pizza because over time youe business may eventually bite the dust. We're New Yorkers and our order is simple.. . a large cheese pizza with extra cheese. How difficult is that, yet still substandard. Check out a pic of the very dry and tasteless extra cheese pizza, we were served and...
Read moreBread sticks are not their strength, too toasted for me. Based on having them multiple times and they always come the same way, I would say is either the oven being too hot or they leave them too much time. But this is just a matter of preference, so don't ditch them because I don't love them.
The pizza is great, every single time it has been. It's done right when you order it, and the kitchen is wide open, so I can't imagine getting a "reheated pizza" even as an option.
Customer service has never been an issue, and I've never been served by the same person twice, so it's not like I'm getting special treatment for being a "regular". Plus, the whole process from walking in through payment is not even five minutes total, I don't think I could say any of them were rude even if they were trying, but that's just me.
Yes, they're super close to other pizza options like Domino's or Papa John's, but they have this "local" feeling that makes me feel like I'm supporting a smaller business instead of a huge chain. I don't know, you give them a try.
Tell them you're coming from me when making your order, none of them know me and you may get a weird look, I just like being...
