Tacos Don Cuco (Doniphan) — Restaurant in El Paso

Just wanted to write about my families experience with this restaurant. First of all the food is quite good. The service however is terrible. So this is a new place near our home and we wanted to go try it. So we did we ordered some tacos. Before we left my mother asked if she could get some onion and cilantro from the salad bar. However the manager said no because of the current pandemic and said there was onion and cilantro in our bag pre packaged. All great until we got home and the pre Packaged onion and cilantro were frozen solid. We gave them a call to let them know what had happened and told them that we didn’t want anything in return just letting them know so they could fix the problem. They however insisted to give us a free meal. Tonight we went to get our meal and buy some more food. And as we were leaving my mother didn’t notice any salsas or onion or cilantro which last time they had given us in a little baggy. So she spoke with a young lady and asked if she was sure there was salsa in the bag and onion and cilantro. To which the young lady said yes it’s at the bottom. My mother took her word for it. And we came home just to find there was indeed no salsa or onion and cilantro. This made us upset this time and we gave them a call we spoke with a young lady. And she tried to help finally asked to speak to the manager and were left on hold forever. Just double check your bag if you are going to go to this place like we said good is good. Went in just before 10pm on Saturday. My son decided not to go in since he noticed a group of young men without masks. I went in to place my order. And the same ones without masks were so freaking loud. They stayed at the salsa bar forever. Talking and being loud. I needed to get my salsa so I started walking towards the salsas. They finally sat on a table. As I’m serving my stuff, I see 3 young men with masks on come in. Cashier went up to them and asked if it was a pick up order. They said no. Dine in, they said and they were denied service. I looked to the kitchen and you had all the employees just looking at the 3 young men.. I’ve been to 4 different Don Cuco. Sundland park, Mesa, Alameda, and Alameda after Fox Plaza. All Great! This one other than the attitude I had the worse experience with my tacos de tripitas, I asked for doradas. Nope I wasn’t sure what was chewier the tortilla or the tripitas.. I was so excited we finally had a Don Cuco on the Upper Valley close to home. Total...

I love tacos Don Cuco but this location is really unorganized. First of all they do not have no one waiting the tables, to place an order it's chaos, and the bar where all the condiments for tacos are was empty. Called on the staff to let them know there were no condiments and they did nothing until like more than an hour later after I notified them. And to top it of the staff was just running around looking lost, they were so unorganized that the orders taken to the tables all literally we're missing something from the order. Mine was also missing a water and it took our guy about 45 mins to get the water to us just because he was talking to other staff laughing playing around, the only reason he brought it is because I went to the front counter and asked him where was my water, and we were almost finished eating by then.
