Crimson Coward — Restaurant in Eldersburg

This was our first visit to crimson coward or any restaurant of its kind really. It's different from anything else I can remember experiencing.

First the good news. The food we ordered was delicious and the staff is quite pleasant. If you know what you want and natural Hot Chicken the way they prepare it is what you want, they do what they do very well.

We visited for lunch on a weekday and the overall cost of our meal for two was somewhat higher than we reasonably expected at over $30. To keep it even that low we shared a drink.

More to the point, though extremely tasty, there's no denying or getting around the fact that the signature cuisine is terrible for us health-wise. You can vary the degree of spice, but the food is extremely salty and deep fried. As retired 60 somethings, I realize that the target market is not our demographic, but we will not return for this simple reason.

Decor the facility is on the industrial plastic side of things, certainly not the right home about. But you're not there for the atmosphere but for the food. And as I said, it's delicious.

It does appear made to order and it does take a while for them to prepare it. I can imagine if they get crushed when...

Had the homestyle. Big sandwich made once I ordered. Great flavor. Had fries and mac. Fires are run of the mill but sauce redeems them. Mac has a good flavor noodles aren't mush. It's a velveeta base style. Portion size is good for the single meal but $5 seems high but times are what they are nowadays. Whole meal was $21.70 meal felt worth it.

Store is clean, good use of red white and yellow colors. Not a lot of sit down space. Staff is friendly

Sandwich isn't a eat in the car while driving. How ever many napkins you think you need grab one more cause you'll need it.

I know eldersburg has been getting a lot of chicken places but this place absolutely puts all the other chains to the ground!! My father got the Hot sandwich and it was definitely spicy! Not like mild but HOT! We got the fried onion and it was the bomb!! The crimson sauce goes perfect with it! I got the chicken and waffles and the waffles were nice a fluffy and they give a decent amount of syrup! Overall, our experience was great! And the chicken is still crispy if you travel with it!
