I donāt advise anyone to spend their hard earned money at this business. I placed an order for a carry out and was very clear about what i wanted. I talked to a staff person by phone by the name of Jordan and she informed me that my meal would be ready in twenty minutes. I said that was fine and Iād be there within the time frame time to pick my order up. I placed this order at around 4:30pm and arrived at 4:55pm to pay and collect my order. I enter the restaurant and Iām half greeted by one of the host who rolled her eyes at me when i walked in, who i later find out goes by the name Macy and the reason i know this is because another staff addressed her as such. I shrug off the half greet and inform the lady i wanted to pick up my order. Two salads with a few subs of chicken and steak. She informs me my order isnāt ready and if i wanted to pay i could. I pay. In the process of paying another staff comes to the stand and rushes me to finish out my payment rudely saying how she needed to clock out because she was off. How was i supposed to know she was off and this is where she clocked out? I shrug this off as well. Since my order wasnāt done yet i grab a seat at the bar. And wait TWENTY MORE MINUTES FOR TWO SALADS that were supposed to have BEEN ready TWENTY MINUTES AGO based on what the lady said on the phone. When my order is finally ready the staff person who again goes by Macy hands me my bag and walks off. I check my order as i do anywhere i go and theyāve got my order all wrong. My salads were not made the way i had asked. I inform the staff of this and my order was sent back to be remade with no apology. I wait another TWENTY MINUTES! In all i have been waiting for my food for almost an hour and the staff made the wait less enjoyable. I will never return here at basta pasta, the people at the welcoming stand need to be fired, and my food came out terribly. I called back to speak to a manager when i returned home and the person who answered the phone was Macy again because after answering the phone she said āthis is Macy speaking what can i do for you todayā She put me on hold after requesting to speak to the manager. i was on hold for thirty minutes intentionally and finally hung up. I would venture to say she never told the manager i wanted to speak with them....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was our first time eating at a Basta Pasta in Eldersburg. We went on a Thursday evening. We REALLY REALLY enjoyed our experience and our food! A lot of attention was paid to the details and everyone was attentive and helpful without over or under doing it. The staff was kind and thoughtful. Perfect! Dory served our table, she was friendly, and helpful throughout. I couldn't decide, everything looked so good and she worked with me to craft the PERFECT pasta combo for me! It may have started as tortelloni pesto from the menu (with red pepper cream) but I chose angel hair pasta, and added chicken. Absolutely delicious! Mom had the Risotto Milanese which was loaded with perfectly cooked scallops, shrimp and crab on the saffron risotto. The bread was delicious, the Relax Riesling crisp and smooth, the Tiramisu yummy and the coffee especially good (they grind their beans fresh, which makes a difference!) We also enjoyed our conversation with Louis and some of the other staff that really made us feel like like having Nona cook and hanging out at her house with family and friends. What a great atmosphere. You can taste the 'love' in the food! We will certainly be back! The only downside (if it is a downside LOL) is that a nap may be required after your meal ;-). In a nut shell they do things the way we think things should be done! To give you some idea, my 80 yr old mom is STILL talking about how good it was yesterday while rubbing her tummy and smiling ear to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped on the way home from visiting a friend. We have eaten here many times before. After a fifteen minute wait to have a server come to the table, she assumes we knew what we wanted because menus were sitting aside. She never mentioned specials, but took our order. I was somewhat sceptical because she did not write anything down. After the salad came and was eaten we were waiting to see our zucchini chip appetizer appear. Another ten minutes and I finally got the server's attention asking for our appetizer. She made up some story about "timing" our order, but when the dinner came out next it was obvious she forgot the appetizer. Then though my wife ordered a chicken parm dinner with angel hair and an additional side of broccoli there was no pasta. After again flagging her down, she explained that there was no pasta since the brocolli was ordered. I explained, no we ordered that as an additional side. Finally a dish of pasta came. We finished and asked for our check only to be told that they now charge a three percent surcharge for credit cards!!! Come on Bosta Pasta, that finale sealed the fate that we will never return again. There are too many quality restaurants in Carroll County to choose from that don't add the insult of a surcharge coupled with poor service.
As an update the management has made good on this experience and we will give them another...
