I went to De Cantera with my family on Sat June 10th. Total of 7 people. I wanted to go based on the good reviews for the food. When we arrived, the restaurant was very warm. They said the air was on, so we stayed and placed our drink and food order thinking it would improve. It did not. There were several other groups of 2-4 people each also at the restaurant. One couple walked out because they were never even approached. We had to ask several times for just our waters. Their soda machine was not working properly either. When we placed our food order, we were very specific and asked if the fajita's came with sour cream and all fixing and were told yes. When our food finally came out, it was wrong and each one came out at different times, so the other food ended up cold by the time all of it came out. We also didn't get some of the items that were suppose to come with the meals. The waitress was not familiar with many things. When we asked to speak to the manager, he never came out. I then went to talk to him about the problems. You would think that the manager would take the time to try and remedy the problems, but he did not say a word or offer any type of fix. I finally said that I wanted a discount off of the total bill because we didn't receive what we were suppose to. He reluctantly agreed. Sad to say that we will not be going back. Maybe if they had more staff on the weekends, then things...
Read moreI know a lot of folks are sad that Twin Kiss is gone, but this Mexican restaurant is a great addition to the area! Best guacamole and tacos I've had in a really long time, from any Mexican restaurant in the area! The guacamole was freshly made and had plenty of avocado (some places like to skimp). I had the carnitas tacos and the meat was perfectly crispy on the ends and tender in the middle. The corn tortillas they used were also amazing - usually restaurants will use those small corn ones and double them up, which I find to be way too much tortilla, but they just use one really high quality small corn tortilla and it's amazingly good! My husband had the beef tacos, and again the meat was excellent, well flavored. The space is super clean and bright, and they even had fresh flowers (sunflowers, my favorite!) on the tables! Great place to bring your family for authentic, quality Mexican food, and for a good price! Plenty of room for bigger...
Read moreI’ve been to this restaurant twice and both times the service hasn’t been the best. The food is good and authentic but customer service definitely lacks. The first time was just ok but our second time we were pretty much ignored when we walked in. I asked if we needed to seat ourselves and the counter girl just handed me 2 menus although there was 6 of us and said yes with zero eye contact just looking down at her device. Both times she tried to charge extra for items that were supposed to be included on the menu and both times toppings that were listed to be on the menu item weren’t on the food at all. We also waited for our check for at least 15 minutes while she chatted with the only other table in the restaurant. Hopefully because they are a newer restaurant they will get this...
