I was there yesterday with my nephew as we had been driving around looking at houses for sale and I said oh I can't believe Eldon until I go by the creamy and he said oh okay sure so he pulled into the drive-thru and we waited a little bit but not an inordinate amount of time and when we got to the window I had decided that I would like to have something our old Dairy Queen used to carry and that was a hot fudge sundae on one side and marshmallow on the other side and nuts so good while I asked her if she could do that and she said I never actually have done it but I don't see why not I'll just add another they're talking to your ticket and then we not get them perfectly even but if that's okay and I said I'm going to mix them together anyway so... anyhow she fixed it and put nuts on it and it was delicious and my nephew had a blueberry Sunday and he said it was so good he couldn't even finish it it don't mean he got down to almost done and then he said I'm full I guess I have a bigger stomach and cuz I had to scrape the bottom of the barrel on mine but it was fantastic and I've had their basket dinners before and they are also just delicious. Young lady at the counter very courteous Pleasant Pepe smiling all of the things you like to see when you and your hard-earned money over to someone behind the counter I...
Read moreGreat folks serving some favorite comfort foods. It was my first visit, so I asked the person who took my order what to get. He suggested a chili dog and a strawberry banana chocolate milkshake. His recommendations did not disappoint. My favorite thing about the chili dog was the bun was as long as the hot dog, which was longer than a normal hot dog. The hot dog itself had great flavor and the firm snappy skin, not mushy or chewy stretchy skin. It was great. The bun was warmed up and had a great yeasty flavor. The chili did not disappoint, just the right amount and the flavor was perfect. As for the milkshake, it had real strawberry and banana in it just like he said it would. The ice cream was thick and creamy, such a good milkshake. We also ordered a banana split which was served with three real sized scoops of soft serve ice cream. The toppings were just the right amount. It was great too. Be aware, this is not fast food. They make each item you order, so it's going to take a minute to get your food, but the wait is totally worth it. They have a couple nice picnic tables undercover you can sit on to get out of the rain or sun. We'll make sure and stop here when we find ourselves in Eldon. It's a perfect small town joint. Sorry about no pics. We were enjoying it all so much, no one...
Read moreThe Eldon Cree-Mee is a place that can only be described as magical. I purchased a root beer float and upon first sip through my glimmering plastic straw the world suddenly lit up. It was as though unicorns danced through the skies. The grass was suddenly greener and the world’s colors lit up more vividly than I could have ever dreamed or imagined (including my wildest dreams). Whitney Houston really got it right when she said Heaven is a place on earth. It isn’t everywhere, but it is here. My sparkling styrofoam cup was towered tall with the richest, creamiest, most delectable vanilla ice cream. Beautiful medleys of cool sugar and cream opened my eyes. The root beer ratios beautifully complimented the ice cream (and the ice cream flavor was genuinely exquisite). I will never be able to go back to another ice cream place again. Truly, my eyes have been opened to what the world can be.
Thank you, Cree-Mee, for changing my...
