McDonald's — Restaurant in Eldon

McDonald's is what it is. Yes, it's an American icon that really doesn't need help with positive or negative thoughts. You either like/love McDonald's or you don't. For myself it is a place of convenience when you really don't have time for anything else; just like any other fast food. But whatever changes McDonald's did to their fries is disappointing. The fries truly were the best, but now they're just mediocre at best. It never fails either, every time I visit any McDonald's. They are slow! It seems no matter what I order. I'm always asked to pull forward and made to wait even longer. There was a visit to the Lake Ozark McDonald's located on Bagnell Dam Blvd. Where I was asked to pull forward for a coffee. They gave me the egg McMuffin I ordered, but a flippin coffee I guess was too much work to handle. McDonald's is not a destination food joint. Or one of those places that is a must have. It's one of those yeah I guess since it's there kind of place. And the food is definitely not what it used to be. A frozen hamburger thrown in the microwave at a gas station taste just as good...

Absolutely the worst drive through experience we've had in quite some time! Not only was the staff slow, they even started the order with a really poor attitude at the speaker. Upon finally getting to the pick up window we were directed to move into one of the drive-thru-parking places where we waited an additional 7-10 minutes for our food. Upon receiving it my hopes were high, knowing that it would be hot, fresh, & made to order after they had parked us.....Let me assure you, this was not the case!

This was the first time I've ordered food, waited an extended period, received cold sandwiches and limp fries. To ice the cake, I poured some of the pathetic fries into the top of my sandwich container as I was trying to stomach through this colossal disaster, just as I noticed my cold fries had a rather large black salted-fly in them. Updating. This McDonald's has awesome management. The drive thru has always been fantastic service. If you read down below. I simply stated/suggested, if they would not have people park for a waiting order by the trash can. It would be really nice, to be able to always pull up and throw away the last tea, making room for the new one. Well I noticed today, they put the # 1 waiting/parking area over on the right/north side of the parking by all the other temporary parking/food pickup. It would be nice if they didn't have people park and wait at the trashcan where it blocks some of us off from throwing away the last McDonald's we ate. They could keep all the waiting orders to the right side where the other temporary parking spots are provided. It would make a more pleasurable experience and having someone blocking...
