This is an Americanized Mexican restaurant and is NOT authentic Mexican food.
I am new to the Quad Cities area from MSP and was told I had to try this place as it is a staple in the Quad Cities area. The food was good but not great and extremely inexpensive 👌 Parking was super convenient, establishment was super clean, restrooms were super clean, service and staff were super friendly and extremely helpful. Service was very quick and overall food was very good for an Americanized Mexican restaurant.
Overall I am very impressed with the establishment and the service as a whole and again good Americanized Mexican food but this is not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Also with the virus that's going around I thought it was very cool that the staff was giving out a roll of toilet paper with each order so because of this, it bumps up their rating another star for their AMAZING...
Read moreIf your expecting customer service don't stop here. Try the busy restaurant on the other side of the road. We drove a tractor at top speed of 15mph from Muscatine to Princeton. We were hungry and tired..... 2.5 hrs of driving one direction. They handed us menus at the counter and told us we could sit anywhere. We had to go back to the counter to place our order. We ask for hot and mild sauce and only got hot. The cook and manager were in the back and 2 counter kids talking to each other. The cook in back had no hat or hair net. He was wearing shorts ( um hot food???? If a spill happened nothing to protect him?) Not impressed....
Read moreNothing seems home made. No real flavor or seasoning on the meats. All the ingredients are fresh, meats might be frozen but it all ends up being bland. The chips are clearly store bought and it leads me to believe that everything else is too. I asked for a side of sour cream (dining in), and they handed me a tiny lunch room style packet of sour cream.
