El Paraiso — Restaurant in Elgin

My fiancé and I just went through the drive thru to grab a late night meal (keep in mind this is our first time trying El Paraiso). Drive thru wait was pretty long but it was fine, we were okay with it. However, as we approached the ordering screen/speaker, we noticed there were NO prices on the menu- we immediately thought that was sketchy. We proceeded to order cheese fries extra crispy and a veggie burrito. After waiting for the cars ahead of us, we got to the pickup window where we got VERY grossed out by the view. Who wants to view kitchen tiles, grout, and a bunch of pots and pans while waiting to pick up their food order? Already losing my appetite, we paid $12 for our order and made sure everything was in the bag. We pulled into the parking lot to eat and as I opened my cheese fries, I noticed there was NO CHEESE. I figured they maybe had put the cheese in the bag but I didn’t find anything. My fiancé called the place as the drive thru was packed with cars but no one picked up despite 7 times of calling the restaurant. Also one last thing- our receipt has no proof of what we ordered. The food is very good, but I strongly advice to the possible customers, to check their bill. El paraiso's waiters and cashiers overcharge customers. It hasn't happened just once but four times to me, they overcharged me not a lot of money, it was 1, 2 or 3 dollars at a time, even though i had already tipped. I know is not lots of money, but nevertheless they are stealing customers money. I happened in both el paraiso's locations, Villa street and Summit avenue. I just had lunch along with my son, in their Summit location, and when were ready to leave in the parking lot, i asked my son how much he paid and he said $30, I immediately asked why and we started figuring out why, they were overcharging 1 dollar more on eachp tostadas we asked for. When my son went to ask the cashier the reason why, he was told that "they thought we have ordered something else" I was given the same kind of answer once in their villa...

STAY AWAY FROM HERE!!!Thief’s!!! Traveled from out of town to visit my son and he recommended this place we’ve eaten there multiple times in the past seeing that my wife and I are from Elgin In total there was 7 people in our group My bill $130.00 dollars which is fine cause like I said there was 7 of us Everything was good until following day when I checked my banking app and seen that they charged me $170.00 meaning the waitress tipped herself $40 on my card so I guess the $20 w I left on table in cash wasn’t enough for her I never leave tips on my card always CASH I called the restaurant and talked to the manager about the situation and she assured me that she was going to take care of the problem as far as getting me back the money that was STOLEN never heard back anything from her stay away from...
