La Casa Del Pollo Asado — Restaurant in Elgin

Love the food but the service is another thing, I had never eaten here until today as its always always takeout for family birthday parties but we were hungry and it was a bad choice. Again everytime i have visited here i have never complained until today, now we love their green sauce but on this occasion they were out of it. So I decided to ask the pregnant lady by the desk if they had more in the back and gave me a smart ass reply telling me she did not know (ay no se), with a mad face and left me to the back. I was about to walk out when another person asked for the green sauce, again no answer. She made another trip to the back and brought out the green sauce to the front desk. You would have though that she would change it so we could eat but no instead she begun sweping the place, cleaning tables and taking out the garbage while we waited 15mins, tortillas cold as well as the food and the entire time she kept on glaring at us. As you could have guess we ate without the sauce as she changed it just as we were finishing up. As long as she works there WE WILL NEVER EAT HERE AGAIN. If you don't wanna work than stay home but giving people bad service will ruin this...

I used to work here when I was 16. I can personally vouch for how clean their kitchen is. As to the people complaining about "customer service" they need to really get over themselves because from my experience it's always the customers being extremely demanding and rude and the girls are trying their best with the unecessary amounts of drama and attitude and childish fits people throw when they don't get their way. It's been a long time since I've worked there but I've continued to come in over the years even after I was no longer an employee because the food is awesome. The girls up front always running around answering phones/cashiering/ taking orders and still having time to practice kind...

I usually never leave negative reviews but this time it made me very upset since it was my daughters 10th birthday and I wanted everything to be perfect! But I ordered 2 -12 piece family meals (24 pieces of chicken) with 2 paid extra sides and I got 10 out of 24 pieces raw and bruised black inside(yuck). I also got 4 sides of mashed potatoes(we only ordered 1) when I really needed more rice and beans for my invites. We had ordered: 2-beans(got 1) 2-rice (got 1) 1-fries(got 1) 1-mashed potatoes (got 4 🙄) 2-mac and cheese(never got any) Least to say I will not be ordering there again and letting family and friends know to be careful. Spent quite a bit of money and didn't get all my invites fed....
