Escapade 360 — Local services in Elgin

Did the DaVinci room with my 3 sons & cousin (ages from 15-20). All moaned & and whined about having to go, but it was Mother’s Day and they had no options. This was my (all of our) first time doing an escape room. We ALL had a blast!! One son (a twin) barely cracks a smile nor speaks up or laughs with any of us at home. Just with his friends. Very rare for us to see or hear. He was genuinely enjoying it, and I was pleasantly surprised to hear his “actual” voice. We loved solving all the puzzles (getting hints helped us too).

They hated admitting it, but they loved it. We plan to do the next level this weekend. None of the 4 boys had any qualms when I told them we’re going again (this is a BIG deal in my family bc they moan about every little thing).

Dan is the best!!! So nice and funny. Helped me as I was booking a time & buying tickets with Groupon (he honored the discount, so I just paid him what Groupon offered. I like doing this so the business doesn’t have to pay the “middle man”.

After we “escaped”, he humorously talked about stuff we incorrectly did, wasted time doing, etc. Loved that he took pics of us and sent to me asap instead of making us buy the pictures.

I recommend that everyone should go here, esp if you’re just beginning to try out escape rooms. Don’t take your little kids (I think age 10 is the oldest to attend). If my kids liked it, I’m pretty sure yours will too (mine only play video games, watch marvel movies, and sometimes play b-ball—not much interaction with others so this was a big deal to us).

As an adult, i had so much fun & it really makes your mind work hard…and not for something boring. Think it helps make your mind sharp, working on “puzzles” similar to ones you did or had on tests when you were young in school (yet nowhere near as easy or simple), while being fun. I’ve never been so excited in my life when we’d solve something & esp escaping in...

This was our first experience in an escape room and we found it very exciting. Located in downtown Elgin in a beautiful historic building, it was easy to find parking and wasn't a difficult drive from the north side of Chicago.

Our watchful game master, Keisha, chatted with us to determine our skill level and make it enjoyable. We asked for just enough hints so that we could understand how to interact with the objects in the room and in no time we were solving puzzles and uncovering clues on our own. While some were mentally challenging, everything could be accomplished by our group of three players and the "Ah ha!" moments we experienced were amazing.

The decor, items in the room and the ambient sound effects really made us feel like we were in the English countryside tracking the whereabouts of Sherlock Holmes. Everything was very professionally put together and several moments felt like we were part of a magician's act as our actions triggered movements and reactions from items across the room. This is an experience that you absolutely must try to fully appreciate it.

We will definitely return to try additional rooms as they are opened and we even plan to revisit the Sherlock Holmes room to share the magic with friends and family who visit us from...

My family loves this place! Both of my children chose to have their birthday party here. The owner is amazing. He makes the experience fun for the kids. He displays a message for the birthday child as well as leaves a special treat for them in the escape room. Tonight at my daughter’s party the tornado alarms sounded. The owner allowed me to the make the decision to stop the game half way through so we could go to the main level in case a tornado happened. He told me he would be willing to stay as late as I needed for the girls to complete their game (he came in for us Monday even though they are typically closed on Mondays) or he would be willing to reschedule our game for another night free of charge. Then while we waited he provided all 8 girls with bottled water for us to be comfortable while we waited. The girls were able to finish their game and came out so happy. They had so much fun!
