Not sure what happened to this place but the quality sure went down the drain. I ordered beef lo mein with EXTRA beef and paid an additional $3 for that. When I picked up my order I made sure to check since last time I ordered from here I got like 5 pieces of beef with my Mongolian beef order. As I suspected they severely shorted me on the beef. I went back inside and pulled out every piece of visible beef I could find (maybe 15-20 thinly sliced pieces) and showed “the manager” (couldn’t have been older than 19/20) and he had the audacity to defend it and say yea that’s extra beef. The amount of beef in the order was BARELY enough to justify a regular order let alone enough to pass as extra beef. It was 85-90% lo mein and 10% beef. So disappointing because we used to love this place and pride ourselves on supporting small businesses. The “manager” didn’t even offer to make it right, he said “I could charge you for more beef” but I didn’t feel like paying $20 for lo mein. Keep your noodles and your business, I sincerely hope you survive with the way your customer service is. Will be posting a picture for reference.

One of the nicest restaurants for decor we have visited here, since moving in. The staff was very accommodating to our needs. We did get a hot and sour soup, which is how we judge how a Chinese restaurant is going to be. We would give it a 7. Great amount of soy sauce and vinegar with a slight spicy note. We then ordered 2 spicy tuna rolls, an avocado roll and the hamachi jalapeño roll. The food presentation was bar none. You can see the effort put forth and it was noticed. Anyone who knows sushi knows it’s the rice that makes the roll. The rice was a solid 7-8. Normal spicy tuna rolls have minced tuna, this tuna roll has larger tuna pieces. The cucumber piece was also slightly on the larger side. Would have enjoyed a bit more spice in these. However the drizzle of spicy mayo was a nice touch. The avocado roll was pretty solid as well. The hamachi roll was a bit overly sauced. Flavor of the fish was fresh. I expected a bit more spice on this, but understand fresh jalapeños have different spice levels. Overall the size of the rolls were nice and filled us up. WeWill be coming back to enjoy some Chinese food.

I was craving Chinese this evening and didn’t want to settle for blah Panda Express again in Elgin. Little Beijing came up on my google search and mostly got good reviews, so I wanted to try it. I called in my order for take out, was ready in 20 minutes. The food was really good. We got sweet & sour pork, cheese puffs, sesame chicken and beef lo mein. The cheese puffs could’ve been more fresh, but overall everything else tasted great. I appreciate that they put the sweet and sour sauce for the pork separately so I could add it in when I got home and it wouldn’t be soggy. My family really liked the food too. Everything was reasonably priced too, around $40 for 3 entrees and appetizer. Finally found a good local Chinese restaurant! We will order again from here.

To start with, the food is typically really good, I’ll give em that. But going up on prices, charging a card fee then up charging for an item when I asked if it was included and she said yes, nope I’m out…won’t order from here again.

This is the 3rd time we’ve ate here and have really liked it. First 2 times, they messed up both to-go orders…this time at least that part was right. Now…onto the issues. I called to place the order and I asked if rice came with the Kung pao chicken & shrimp, she said yes you choose fried or steamed….she never mentioned an upcharge for this. I get there and I am checking the order because of the earlier comment about orders being wrong in the past…the young man rings it up and gives me the total which immediately seems high. I question it and he quickly runs thru it and explained a couple of prices increases (which I fully understand and that’s fine) then tells me they are now charging a 3.5% fee for card use..I HATE this part!! Part of running a business and doing price increases, is to cover THESE EXACT COSTS!!! I normally would have walked out but the wife was sick and this what she wanted..so I paid. I left then called because the numbers still weren’t making it right in my head and asked about the price for each item. The young girl pulled the ticket up and went over it…all the prices were a $1-2 higher then our previous order plus what is shown on their menu online where we ordered from. When I asked what the other $2 charge was, she said that was the rice up charge?!?? I said what UP, I asked you when I called if it CAME with rice and you said yes, you never said there was a fee for something that COMES WITH A DISH….she said oh sorry yes we charge for that so I explained to her that if something doesn’t come WITH A DISH without a charge, that means it doesn’t “come with it” and that it’s an extra item you pay for! Either way…we won’t return and I will no longer recommend this place. Cant say how many times we have told people about this place but that’ll stop…this time kina got to me so we are done....

I’ll give it two stars only because the food is actually good but the service is something else. I see that they’ve done it to other customers too. Had the issue where we did a pick up order, we’re told 15-20 minutes. When we got there we’re told our food was being bagged. 3 people came and went with their food and after a half hour wait we asked for our money back as they clearly did not have our food ready. We were told we were making them waste food and why didn’t we tell them we didn’t want the food. We’ll why were you guys lying said it was being bagged up over 30mins ago? Then we were given the excuse of “well there could have been orders before you” okay so then why not just be honest and tell us it’s going to be a longer wait at the beginning? I get it things happen but you don’t lie to your customers and try to make them feel guilty over your mess ups. I’ve written to them on their site and on social media and haven’t gotten any response from management. Again, the food is good but it’s not worth the service dealing with them. We left that night after almost 45 mins with no food. No apology from the bad service but thankfully even with their pouting we got our money back. The best part of it all was when we did ask for a refund being told by the cashier that we would have to wait because she was busy when all she was doing was getting water for the one other customer in store. Laughable service...

We tried Little Beijing for the first time this evening. It was before 5pm and we were the only table in the restaurant. There were 3 servers sitting at the bar in conversation. One walked over and greeted us. We ordered, everything was fine.

Two more tables came in and were greeted. However, we sat there for 10 min and no one went back to one of the tables to check on them or take their order. The 3 servers were still engaged in conversation at the bar. We had to get up from the table and go ask for to go boxes and our check.

At this point another gentleman had come into the restaurant and was sitting alone and had not been greeted after 5 minutes. He eventually went to the bar and asked for a menu.

We reviewed our ticket and noticed almost every item was priced higher on our bill than was stated on the menu. At first we only noticed one of the plates was a dollar more on the bill. Our server simply apologized and said, "it's only a dollar." That is when we took a closer look. I demanded that the bill be corrected even though it may have only been a few dollars. They did fix the bill and comped our beverages for the trouble. Thank you!

The food was delicious! The egg drop soup is now my favorite in town and the portions are huge! We may not be back anytime soon but will...
