Taco Bell — Restaurant in Elgin

If you want to be charged extra for meat you swapped and sauce you swapped just to not get it, come here!! If you like your drinks being 2/3 full come here! I paid an extra $2 to swap beef for chicken in my Crunchwrap and nacho cheese for chipotle sauce. I pay extra for the freeze I get just for it to not even be close to full and already melted and watered down. I come here regularly and they will not pay attention to your order details. Save your money or go to Bastrop or Manor where they actually pay attention! It’s annoying to be the person that has to go back through the drive through. I love Tacobell but Elgin is absolutely terrible! the only good staff work in the morning and they’re super nice. But other than a smile and small chat they’ll still mess everything up. I have been promised time and time again that employees will be trained or talked to, just for no changes to be made. Obviously the system they have in place does not work because I am consistently they only person in drive through when I show up with the parking lot empty so they’re not busy at all and they still manage to get everything you order wrong. I will consider updating this review after I feel like the location has improved, but until then… seriously, go...

Tried to order at the drive through at 12:26 PM. I was prompted through the drive through speaker by a gentlemen that said " Just to let you know we will be closing in 4 minutes". I said that's ok that I only needed a couple things. He then said again that they where closing. I asked him why they have online that they are open until 1 am? He said a bunch of nonsense and said it takes an hour to prep for closing. I understand it's late they want to go home but I was there 30 min prior to them closing and they DENIED me service! Absolute shame that they couldn't make me three tacos but it's ok. I don't care to much for laziness and I guess it was just to HARD to clean up after making three tacos. UPDATE I've edited the time suggestions through Google stating that this location closes at 12 at night so that way the night crew has an hour to prep for closing so that way there is no more discrepancies for future customers to waste gas driving up there to be turned away!...

I came in right before 12 with a somewhat big order. I asked for a lot a lot of fire with my order and 2 baja blasts. In short terms, When I got to the window to pay, she had given me 2 sodas and I meant slushies. I asked Yaneth and said I’ll pay again for the slushies. ( since it was my mistake for not specifying) And she said it was okay and I could keep the sodas that way she doesn’t have to throw them out. She was just so kind so I gave her and the other 2 people working tonight’s shift each an iced loaf I had just bought. And then I pulled up to the front to wait for my order when her and one other came up to my window to hand me the food and they gave me free twists for being kind. It was just overall a great experience. Wasn’t in the slightest bit annoyed with my order and my mistake as most workers would be. This Taco Bell has some efficient & kind hearted employees!
