Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Elgin

The line was a bit long. The Mac and cheese was more if a cheese soup with macaroni noodles. Awful!! I had to go back through the line because they did not give me my chicken sandwich and mashed potatoes. The chicken on the sandwich was small and thin The items that I liked are gone. I liked their jambalaya. Cajun fries were cold.

Added 11/30/22. Went to Popeyes, again a mistake. Ordered some food and the Cajun Rice, but they still don't have that, it's on the menu, I thought they may have started serving that again. The person taking the order rudely said, "We don't have that". I said, "Ok, it's still on the menu", but I didn't try to be snippy. He told me the amount due I got up to the window, he looked at me, held out his hand, I handed him the money, hoping he was looking at the right order. He handed me my change, then just looked at me like I should move on, drive thru window closes, he picked up my food, handed it to me. I said thank you, he never responded. Honestly, why can't people be decent. I understand no rice, but not even responding to the customer really shows lack of concern for who they deal with. I hope to never be so apathetic as what...

Decided to give their classic chicken wings a try, I ordered BBQ and when I got home I got something different and tried to eat them but these were super spicy that my stomach started to hurt so I decided to go and take these back and I asked are these BBQ and the woman at three drive thru was no these are something else and I told her I asked for BBQ I can't eat these are so spicy and she asked if I had a receipt I told her no you didn't gave me one. So she just went and got me the "correct ones" with BBQ and the sauce was just spread and I was like wait are the wings supposed be all covered with sauce and she said that's extra like wtf I just came back to get my food order corrected and you just tossed some sauce in there. I went to this Popeye’s on a weekday at 4:30. I have been here many times and in the last few visits they have been substituting white meat in place of my all dark meat order. This day they reached a new low, knowing they’re likely to dole out white meat as a replacement for the dark meat I ordered, I asked if they had enough dark meat to fill my order. Their reply actually caught me by surprise, they said, “we have no dark meat of either regular or spicy”. With that answer I left, which cost their store $50. To further compound the problem I called their corporate office to lodge a complaint. The individual I spoke to was very sympathetic and helpful while she took my information. It is now 2 weeks after calling their customer service representative and I’m still waiting for any response whatsoever. Terrible service all...
