Ordered dragonfruit refresher and by the time she is handing out my order, that's the time she will tell me that they are out of the fruit and sorry she forgot to mention it to me. How can she forget to mention it I am the only customer there at 5:45am. If she forgot to mention at the drive thru order it was understandable but when I got to the window and she even charged my order and did not mention anything until she is handing out my order to me. That is absurd. They always say it just taste the same without the fruit anyway. That's not the issue here. They should be telling the customers ahead of time so it's ok to have a missing ingredient. I have also encountered this with several other employees there and they all have the same excuse that they forgot to mention that they are out. Paying full price for an incomplete ingredients to the order? This is just ridiculous.

Read moreBy far and away the worst customer service out of any Starbucks within 15 miles of here (I also know many other locals feel the same but just don’t care to go through the effort of leaving a review). The staff is typically rude overall, but if you choose not to leave them a tip (on top of the already massively overpriced drinks), they take their negative attitudes to another level.
There can be absolutely nobody in the store and they still will not prioritize the customer that is standing right in front of them. Then, their outward gossip and chatter about customers over their group headsets is reminiscent of petulant junior high students. Do they not know we can hear them complaining?
Even asking for the card of the store manager or district manager (which should be displayed in store, but is not) ended up being a process.
From someone that typically enjoys Starbucks, there are many other local stores that value your business more than this one does.

I went to another store (the one by kohl’s in south elgin) and ordered a matcha, i accidentally forgot to order it with oat-milk which made it taste bitter/horrible. I asked the barista if i could have it added to my drink or get a small cup of oat-milk so i could add it which i was obviously going to pay for. The barista told me rudely that she couldn’t do that for me and i had to purchase a WHOLE new drink. I kindly refused and went to this location. The sweet girl in the drive through took my order of a cup of oatmilk and gave it to me with the biggest smile. These workers are the best! This will be the only Starbucks i will go to now!
