This is the first negative review I have posted in a long time. I realize that restaurant owners and managers have difficulty finding good wait staff and I know that patience is appreciated, so I try to be very forgiving when I enter any restaurant doors. That the woman waiting on the section we were in was overworked and the restaurant was understaffed was immediately apparent, but that is not the reason for this post. I will say the guacamole was excellent, but that is the only positive thing about the entire evening. The chicken was very tough, but the main issue was that my friend was incorrectly charged for a mistake that was made by the wait staff. When she calmly tried to explain it to the server, who was trying desperately to understand what she saying but had no idea because she did not understand English that well, she went to the manager to explain it. She returned infuriated at the way she was treated by the manager. Another person attempted to explain the situation to the manager, and she, too was treated very aggressively by the manager. I realize that the public feels entitled, is often rude, and frequently complains just to try to get a charge dismissed from the bill. This, however, was a low-cost, legitimate mistake that was made by this server, and could have been easily resolved by the manager, who chose not to rectify the situation. Instead, he resorted to an aggressive, in-your-face confrontation. Needless to say, I...
Read moreThe experience that we encountered today was disappointing, if i could give a negative stars i would. Me and my cousins would go here multiple times throughout the month and have good experiences. It was one waitress in particular that NEVER took care of us we wouldn’t leave a tip and even told us she thought we was serious of customers that she didn’t like taking us as customers in her section. THE MANAGER TOLD US THAT WE NEVER GAVE A THEM A TIP WHEN IN FACT WE LEFT TIPS FOR EVERYONE BUT THAT ONE WAITRESS. The manager then told everyone on his staff to add a charge us a gratuity fee for two people… We wait three weeks to return and order a quesadilla but didn’t know that they came with beans inside and when noticed told an employee the manager proceeded to tell us that we are wasting food and that they was not going to remake it.. we asked for the ticket to pay for what we ate he told us that we HAD to pay for everything even the food we did not touch.. when asked he said we are not wasting food and that we was going to have to pay. We told him that we only ate the fries and cheese dip and had a tea and soda and a kids drink we told him that we’ll pay for and asked him several times to let us pay. He then said NO ITS FINE LEAVE IT HOW IT IS. We said let us pay for everything we had the opportunity to wag and drink he said NO and...
Read moreI sat at the bar, so I can't rate the wait staff, other than they seemed friendly. I can't rate the food either, since the bar staff never offered me a menu. The restaurant was busy, and the bartender who served my drink had a look on her face somewhere between just serious and a scowl/'I'd rather be somewhere else". After I mentioned to her for a second time that she should smile more I added that (speaking as a former bartender) it would also help her tips. She replied (looking down the bar), "I know all of these people and they're going to tip me anyway." I was at the restaurant for karaoke and when I was finished with my beer and turned around briefly to watch a singer, she took my glass and did not ask me if I wanted another drink. I sat there for 10 minutes, with even the woman sitting next to me commenting, "Are you finished drinking?" I replied, "No, I'm just waiting for someone to ask if I want another beer." The male bartender, who had been talking occasionally with some of the other patrons but had walked past me five or six times, like the female bartender had also, finally asked me if I wanted a beer. Which came in a warm mug. By the way, the woman who was sitting next to me had earlier commented on how warm the temperature in the restaurant was, so if the mug was noticeably warmer it had to be away least 80...
