My friend and I went for lunch a few days ago. I hadn't been in this Restaurant for years because I as a black woman, didn't feel welcome the last time I stepped in here. I'll start with the food: we ordered the garlic knots as an appetizer. We then ordered the meat pizza and subbed onions for the pepperoni. Garlic knots were amazing, the pizza reminded me of pizza hut; I'm from New York, those people who say Van's Pizza is better than N Y pizza either A) Never had authentic hand tossed NY pizza or B) think as long as its dough, sauce and toppings its great. Not bad, just not memoriable nor can compare to NY pizza, they don't even make their own dough, it's frozen. Four stars for those garlic knots. The service: they only had one table of 5 or 6 people when we came in. There were three women behind the counter, pitiling and one man who might have been the manager who all took at lest five minutes to acknowledge that we were standing at the 'please wait to be seated' booth when you walk in. They took so long that we were on the verge of seating ourselves. This lack of service is one of the reasons I hadn't been back here in at least 15 years up until this point. Two stars for basically ignoring us after we gave our order and we never got a ticket at the table, had to go to the counter. I'd go back to pick up a call in order of those garlic knots but would not go back...

I ordered the van's special pizza which is basically a supreme pizza. I paid about 18 dollars including tax for a large. The atmosphere was friendly and the pizza was made fairly fast. I take a look at the pizza and it looks like a little caesars pizza. I went to little Caesars to order a supreme and compared the two.
Bread: Vans win in this category. The bread is slightly better than little Caesars. It's not a huge victory here.
Sauce: Equal. Little Caesars has more presence with their sauce than vans. For some people that's good and others not so much.
Cheese: Little Caesars pizza wins. There is way more cheese and tastes better. It was whiter as well. It looked good. Vans cheese was dull looking and there was barely any cheese.
Ingredients: Little Caesars. They both use the same ingredients. Now for a restruant that charges that much for a pizza should have better quality ingredients right? Wrong, both have the same quality canned mushrooms.
Price: Little Caesars. I could have ordered two supremes for the price of one vans pizza.
Overall: Little Caesars wins this. It's just not worth the price to get a pizza from vans, when you can order a pizza from Little Caesars for half the cost and get the same pizza (my little Caesars pizza tasted better than the...
Read moreowner is rude, place is very unclean and unhealthy got super sick puking and going to the bathroom constantly after eating there not just once but twice. i gave them another chance and definitely regret it. i definitely will never go back. if you value your health or want to eat clean food stay far far away.
also like the comment below says i do agree the owner and staff makes you feel very unwelcome and like your in the way.
is it a restaurant or fast food? who knows. the owner sure doesn't.
honestly the entire setup is kinda ridiculous. even the parking lot is just plain stupid. can barley even get in or out most the time because the crammed spots they got.
i'd give them a 0/10, and that's being generous.
not to mention i paid 35$ for a single pizza and breadsticks is completely insane. i can buy like 5-6 pizzas for that price at little ceasers with better quality ingredients...
