Was looking for a nice restaurant in Elizabeth to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Typed in best restaurants in the area, and this one immediately popped up. After eating there last night, I totally understand why. From the moment we arrived, we were treated with absolute care. We had the choice of eating inside or outside, and with it being such a beautiful night, we opted to dine in their patio area. It looked wonderful outside with lights from overhead and a nice breeze from the water. Our waitress was fantastic and gave wonderful recommendations since it was our first time. She also went above and beyond throughout the night, and when we were given another waitress, she still checked in. The manager also checked on us throughout the night and was so kind. Every...single...thing we ate was phenomenal and HUGE. For appetizers, we had the sweet and spicy calamari and the meatballs. For entrees, the boyfriend had the black linguine with the lobster, and I had a special with the gnocchi. I also had the passion fruit mule...which was very balanced. Had to take most of it home because we wanted to leave room for dessert. Hint: LEAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT!!! The dessert menu had something for everyone and was explained in great detail. Then...much to my surprise, the waitress mentioned a dessert special that was not on the menu and happens to be one of my favorites. She said banana bread pudding, and when I asked if it had raisins... she said no, and I died of happiness right there at the table. We immediately ordered that to share with an affogato. Because it was my boyfriend's birthday, they put a sparkler in the bread pudding and sang happy birthday. It was really special and the taste of the bread pudding was outstanding. I'm actually tempted to go back today just to get it again. Overall, this place gets 5 stars. I know that this new iteration of the restaurant has only been around for a year, but I hope it stays around for a really long time. The people...the ambiance....the food. Everything was just awesome. I am looking forward to dining here and again with my family and friends.

Let me introduce you to Elizabeth’s new secret. This new restaurant, a year old, is tucked away in Elizabeth near the Veterans Memorial Marina. WHO would have known??!! Today’s visit was to celebrate Father’s Day with my husband. Immediately, we felt as if we were a part of the family and we were at home for dinner. Cheech, Nick, Eli and a host of others were amazing…mama brought them up right😉. Once seated, we were with continued greetings from everyone. Ok. The hospitality alone made me want to return and I had yet to taste the food. Once ordered, our taste buds exploded with joy. From the appetizer to dessert, we had a marvelous palatal experience. The pictures you see are not what we ate. Honestly, the food looked so good I nearly forgot to take a picture of what we were experiencing! Trust me, though, when I tell you that once you enter this unassuming restaurant, you will be pleasantly surprised as to how your mouth will receive what the chef has to offer. The only thing missing was meeting the chef. The icing on the cake would have been to have the chef greet us at our table. This would have allowed us to see the person who created these wonder meals proving to us his care and devotion to his creation. The restaurant is on a corner. You will see iron gates attached to the restaurant. Turn into that small area to receive valet parking. The entire staff was the best! Come! Dine in! Meet your new family members. The owners really do set the tone of their restaurant. Because they are so loving and genuinely concerned about their guests, the entire staff follows their lead and they do a fine job.

Its very rare to find a restaurant that receives 5 stars on google and on yelp. So i was super excited to come here for date night w my fiance. We made resys just incase but this space is huge with plenty of tables ! We were seated right away and we got straight to business. We got a pitcher of red sangria (they add fruits and also real strawberry made to puree like texture). It was one of the best sangrias we've ever had. Must get the grande carpaccio dish! Its an appetizer and amazing!!! We got mussels in red sauce, crab cake was LOADED with crabmeat! We just came back from Ocean City, Maryland last month and their crab cakes was way smaller so we were surprised to see Del Porto's huge crab cake! We got the eggplant lasagna (which we packed to go lol) and their new pear dessert with cannoli cream and ice cream. My gosh! Dinner was amazing! We also got free shots on the house to celebrate our engagement. We dont even know how the owner knew! We were talkin to one couple behind our table. So assuming he overheard. But what a nice gesture and definitely shows they paid attention to detail. We saw their outdoor garden finishing up and itll be beautiful to dine out there when the weather gets warmer! Our server JW was awesome ! I believe the manager also stopped by our table a few times to check on us! Definitely recommending to our friends! So happy to have found this place. We'll definitely be back!

This review is not biased as the owner Nick and I are like family and I’ve know him for many years. I decided to have a Saturday later lunch with a date and the first thing that really caught my attention was how friendly and engaging the staff was. No one was on their phones ignoring people like you see often, in fact it was the opposite. Polite, warm and professional. I’m familiar with Nick’s food from his other restaurant so I had high expectations. We ordered 3 appetizers. The tuna tartar, crab cake special and his sweet & spicy calamari. Those three dishes were incredible! We were full just the right amount but was blown away by the presentation and quality. I need to mention the drinks. I’m a huge whiskey, scotch guy and decided to try their smoked old fashioned. Yes it’s actually lit on fire in front of you to get the smoke. I’ve had my share of those drinks. Hands down this was the bessssssst smoked old fashion I’ve ever had hands down. I had 2 of them. My date’s drinks were incredible as well. For the main course she went with the spicy penna vodka with shrimp and I had the hangar steak. Both dishes were amazing! He’s got a great selection to choose from. If you are local in the area or even looking to travel a bit I’d highly suggest it. They have valet parking or you can find a spot on the street. If I lived closer I’d be there often. Staff was great and we had a great time!

Really pleased with our spontaneous find. We were outside of our normal area and looking for dinner places. The area is very industrial, and we almost wondered if we were in the right place. But there was valet right outside, and we were promptly greeted and seated inside. Our server was all smiles and good energy, not over the top, and noticed we were not regulars. Gave us a few suggestions, and brought bread and garlic olive oil dip, and a plate of lime and lemons for our water. Manager (we presume) came over a couple times to say "bon appetit" and check in on us. We ordered the Vodka Chicken Parm & Rigatoni, and the Linguine Vongole. Plates were enormous--expected, but still notable and funny to us. We swore there would be no way we would make a dent in it. Fast forward, and the chicken parm plate is wiped clean, and the linguine vongole is mostly done. Chicken parm vodka sauce was excellent, pasta was cooked well, and the chicken was also cooked nicely. This is somewhat out of the way for us, but we will probably be back. Gave a good tip to our server, and really seems like the overall vibe is humble old school "make diners feel at home," versus pretentious and just poor. This is a great neighborhood restaurant and I'm glad the area has a place like this around! I almost never write positive reviews, but here we are. Thanks for the experience!

A hidden gem in Elizabeth: I took my father to celebrate his birthday, and I couldn't have chosen a better spot. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and inviting. We began with the Carpaccio—fresh and exquisite. Served with arugula and a tangy sauce, it was simply perfect. Next, the Crab Cakes. I must emphasize how exceptional they were—so fresh that if you had told me the crab was caught this morning, I would have believed it. Creamy on the inside, with a crisp sear on the outside, they were heavenly. For the main course, my father had the Shrimp Penne à la Vodka. It had just the right amount of spice, and the pasta was cooked to perfection—al dente. The shrimp mirrored the freshness of the crab cakes. I opted for the Hanger Steak, accompanied by sautéed peppers, onions, potatoes, and mushrooms, all served in a homemade sauce. It was a hearty meal reminiscent of a classic European beef stew. I wish we took better pictures, but the whole experience was simply worth of our undivided attention. We will definitely return, as there are still many dishes to explore at this wonderful establishment. We're also grateful for the outstanding service provided by Naomy, who guided us through both the drink and food menus with expertise and warmth.
