Bamboleo — Restaurant in Elizabeth

We went here after my daughters bowling party as I really didn't want to go. First time here. The cover charge was $20 which was different as usually in certain places women are free b4 a certain time and men pay. So this was my first time paying ever. There was no performance on this night. We got in and the place was nice inside. A lady helped us and told us tables were for bottle service only if not we will have to hang out in the bar. Unfortunately I'm not a premium drinker so bottle service was out of the question. We found a small area next to the restrooms and stayed there. After we got settled my boyfriend went to get drinks. For him and my cousin they got a beer bucket (cubetazo) and I had an Amaretto Sour. When my BF brought me BACK my drink the plastic cup was halfway. I looked at my drink and I told my boyfriend what is this and he's like your drink and I'm like the cup is not even filled 🤯. I was a bit tight and told my boyfriend to return it and have the cup filled. He didn't want to so I went. Mind you I'm a NYC girl and did the club scenes most of my teenage years and adult life and I have loved cocktail drinks 4ever in a day. No one is going to serve me a cup halfway and then charge me full price🤔. I went up to the bar told the bartender to please fill the cup up and she was like I wasn't the one that did it. I told her I don't care who did it just fill it up. I told her you can't charge $10 for a drink and leave it halfway empty and then serve it in the smallest plastic cup ever🤯 Who does that??? She wasn't in the best of moods but got my drink fixed. That specific drink was $12. She definitely remembered my face when I returned for a second drink the third drink someone else handled it. WE made friends in our little corner. A couple of minor incidents happened but security was on point. THANKS SECURITY FOR keeping the place safe!!!! Bathrooms needed attention in the way of paper. Went for Taco Tuesday. I had the pork carnitas tacos and they had no flavor. Very tasteless. I added the sauces provided but that definitely didn't help. The tacos looked good but weren't good. What helped the experience was the beef quesadillas which made the experience better. Drinks were okay. Server experience was off to me. I ordered the tacos and when they brought the tacos, they wanted me to immediately pay. Without even checking if I was going to order again. I paid just to get her out my face but then the tacos were trash so that's when I ordered the quesadillas and she did the same thing again. It made me not want to spend anymore money here to order more food. I would understand if you had to hold my card and ID, then charge me after I finished my food but you charged me as I got my food.
