Let’s not sugarcoat anything — this is NOT a restaurant and bar. This is a club with a bar, and it needs to stop pretending otherwise. That’s where the confusion and chaos began on my first and last visit to this place.
I came here to have a good night. When I arrived, the bar was full. A staff member told me the tables were reserved and suggested I go upstairs. Fine. But then a manager stopped me and told me I was okay to sit at a table downstairs. I double-checked, and she confirmed it was fine.
I sat down, ordered drinks and food, and ended up spending $140 by myself. I was minding my business, enjoying the night — until one of the promoter’s little flunkies (not a staff member!) came over and asked me when I was leaving. I said I wasn’t sure. Then he asked, “Can you leave in 15 minutes?” I told him a manager already said I could sit there. He didn’t care. Said the table was “reserved” and asked if I could leave in 20 minutes instead.
Excuse me?
You let someone who doesn’t even work there try to move a paying customer out of their seat?
I asked for a manager again. Talked to the waitress who had been serving me. Spoke to another person who claimed to be management. And every single one of them shrugged their shoulders like they had no idea what was going on. No accountability. No one tried to fix it. No one offered me a different seat. Just silence.
I spent over $140 and got disrespected, dismissed, and basically told to get out — for someone else’s “reserved table” — after I was already seated and served. If that’s how you treat paying guests, you don’t deserve the business.
I came here to see if it would be a good spot for my goddaughter’s 21st birthday party. Trust me, I won’t be bringing anyone back here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. The way you run things is sloppy, unprofessional, and flat-out disrespectful.
The least you could have done was make it right — and you...
Read moreLets get into discussing R&B Sundays Bunch. Based on the pictures, I felt the crowd was young. But, my husband and I went anyway, we are in our 40's. There is a coverage charge to get into the venue. Not a big deal most venues these days with a DJ and security often do. We were provided options on where we wanted to sit...upstairs, main level or outside. We sat outside. The waitress Alician (I believe that was her name) was attentive and provided great customer service. The promoters and managers were definitely making rounds to make sure everyone was good and enjoying themselves. We received free shots because the speaker outside was not working upon our arrival. However, the issue was fixed fast. Now let's get into the food and drinks...amazing! For food, we ordered the fish and grits and Soul Food Plate (fish, yams, greens and mac & cheese)...OMG so flavorable and fresh. The hookah was okay, we didn't want anything with mint. The hookah guy said the Love 69 flavor didnt have mint but it did. But because everything else was good, it wasn't a deal breaker. Closing the deal with the drinks. Lychee Martini was the best, I've ever tasted. Mimosa was good. The lemon drops have the option of flavors added so the strawberry lemon drop was delicious. My husband enjoyed his Henny Punch not on the menu. The crowd was a mixed crowd so we didnt feel out of place. The DJ played all the greatest r&b hits. The food, drinks and hookah was a great value. I would definitely recommend and I will...
Read moreI had high hopes for Pier 73, especially after seeing their Instagram promotion for the Love Island watch party on 6/26. I gathered a group of friends, and we arrived promptly at 8 PM, excited for a fun night. Unfortunately, it turned out to be an incredibly frustrating experience.
To start, it was unclear who actually worked there—no one greeted us or helped us get situated except for the security guard. We placed our food and drink orders around 8:44 PM, but by 9:40 PM we hadn’t received anything. Meanwhile, the watch party was chaos. They had three different screens showing the episode, but only one had the audio synced correctly. The others had ads playing or were completely off-sync. Customers had to take it upon themselves to find remotes and pause/play the show just to try and make it watchable.
Even worse, nobody from the establishment seemed to care that this was happening. There was no communication, no apology, nothing. I asked to cancel my food since the episode was nearly over, and I was told it was fine—but then I found out that the drinks we ordered couldn’t even be made because it was “too overwhelming” for the staff. We ended up getting sodas instead.
The entire night was disorganized, unprofessional, and honestly just disappointing. I highly suggest you avoid this place altogether. Definitely not...
