Pisko's — Restaurant in Elizabeth

The drinks were good.. thats about all this restaurant has going for it. Went with a group of 4 last week, on a wednesday and ordered 10 min after my group did, i asked the waitress for "Pescado frito con arroz y frejoles" ... while we waited 30 min + for food, theirs came out first. 20 more min goes by and They ended up finishing their food and as they asked for the check, my food STILL hadnt come out, so i decided to ask the waitress to cancel my order BEFORE we asked for the check.. She refused to cancel my order and now its been an hour since i placed the order so i told her i wasnt paying for it bcus we were gttng ready to leave and I STILL DIDNT HAVE MY FOOD.. She again refused and proceeded to bring Chicharron de pescado to our table.. i told her AGAIN i didnt want it because (1) thats Definitely not what i ordered and (2) We need to leave. Then she tells me "oh we dont have that so i brought u this‍... Wrong answer. At this point she starts pushing the food to me as if i was wrong and then proceeded to tell me that it was going to be taken out of her check. I wish i had gotten her name but i didnt, i just KNOW she's from Spain. Will never be back.. it literally took us 15 min to get her off our backs and stop harassing us...

The food and atmosphere was really good except for one waiter. I don’t know his name but I do know that he was extremely rude and distasteful. First, when we asked for the menus to see what we’d like, he got the menus and threw it at us. The second one was when the family next to us was charged wrongly for a dish and the same guy gave the lady a snippy, disrespectful attitude telling them that they have to pay for it. Thankfully, the lady spoke with another waiter and got the bill fixed to the right amount. Third, another lady reclaimed that she asked for togo boxes four times to the same guy but never got it and had to wait longer than usual for two togo boxes. Fourth, when it was time to go, we asked the same guy for togo boxes and two hot sauces to go. It took him a while again so we had to ask another waiter to get it. All in all, it is a good restaurant, with good music and good atmosphere. I understand that sometimes, restaurants may run low on staff, making it difficult to manage multiple customers at the same time. However, when one waiter is being rude and disrespectful to multiple customers’ time and not even trying the bare minimum to be nice, the experience will take...

I think the food was the only thing that kept me coming back to this place. But what good is the food if the dining experience is horrendous. I was there last Sunday, horrible experience because the service was terrible as usual, so I said no more. after we were seated waited a long time for the lady to come get our drink order, my wife ordered the passion fruit juice and I ordered passion fruit pisco sour. Juice came in she forgot my drink had to wait another 10 minutes for my drink, at that time the entrees came in. Another 15 minutes into eating my entree the appetizer came in. Only forks had to wait another couple of minutes for them to bring me the knives. Then had to wait couple more minutes for the spoon. And I would like to point out that the guy who brings food to the table has no manners, he comes and places the food on the table and leaves, what kind of service is that? I’m sad to say that I don’t think I will come back to this restaurant probably ever again. The cherry on top of this whole disappointment, they charged me 18% tip for their “excellent” service. What a joke. Their service is not even worth two dollars, they charged me 18%....
