Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Elizabethton

Very false advertising. As of 2/28/21 they have a large sign out front stating "Dining room now open". That is just not what they're offering when you go inside. We've been going to restaurants in town that have had dining rooms open for the last 9+ months in town (although some of that time was limited seating capacity, but none like that now). We had been waiting since we love their bread sticks, and the pizza is decent. But when we walked in, there was a sign 'ring bell for service'. We rang it, someone yelled from the drive through window "be right with you". A few minutes later a woman came over and said, "carry out, or dine in ?" We said dine in (happy to finally say so). She said, quoting here, "OK, the way we're doing dine in, is, you have to order here, and come back and get your food. Drinks are bottled only, and we give you paper plates..." At that point, we said, "No thanks, and left, to go to one of the many pizza places in town that seat you and serve you, as a normal restaurant. At best, what she described was a cafeteria, not dine in service. For the record, there is not even a mask requirement in our, or the surrounding counties, at this time per local ordinance. They were dropped completely. They are just taking advantage of the situation to provide minimal service to maximize their profit and minimize customer service. They didn't have any wait staff in the restaurant. Total false advertising. There are literally dozens of other restaurants on that same road (W. Elk Ave) that will serve you meals, including great pizza places. Jiggy Rays, and newly opened Black Olive are two we've visited that have fully open dining rooms...

I called an order in..they ran my debit card twice ...both times she said it was declined..I gave her info on another card . My bank card..she said it was declined. Then I get 2 text alerts that my emerald card has been charged 21.38...2 text alerts...2 times for 21.38. Then I. All my automated bank card...a charge of 21.38 again at 242pm. The amount of my bill at pizza hut. I call pizza hut...she said nothing we can do honey. I go down there...ask to speak to a manager...show her my phone with the 2 charges and tell her I van call bank with 3rd charge.she says..I can't do anything. I ask for corporates number her response..." oh well I'm not a manager there isnt one here and we dont have a corporate." I googled corporate. Now over 63.00 dollars later...was charged 3 times and was told it was declined and was not...no pizza. There store was empty and was told ot would take an hour and half for delivery time as well. This place sucks. Will never use again. I told her I was calling corporate and asked for the mangers name she gold me it was Matt Hyatt and he wouldn't be in till Monday. I asked her to call him she said "oh I cant" terrible terrible service. Just imagine if you where charged 3 times the amount for food...

My husband, daughter and I came here (3-17-23) to have dinner. While waiting to be seated the bright red-headed girl at the register said "dining in or carryout" we said dining in. She, with an attitude, told us we could find a seat ourselves. There was only one other couple in the dining room and they were already being waited on. So I had no clue as to why we had to seat ourselves. Then wait 10 minutes to be waited on. At this point, I was rubbed the wrong way & wanted to walk out. But they were hungry so my husband and daughter went to the salad bar for something quick to eat. Came back to our table...still no menus, silverware, and no one around to take our drink order. After my husband and daughter finished two plates of finger foods our waitress finally came to take our order. At this point, we knew we were not going to order from them because of how bad we had already been treated.

To add: I worked at this Pizza Hut throughout high school 05-09 & not once would I have treated paying customers that way nor would any co-worker. This place use to be run like clockwork. Very professional. I am sad to say that it is no longer that way. Maybe new management? Who knows. All I do know is to SAVE YOUR TIME & MONEY....
