Stopped in with my three sons to have a beer. The bartender was borderline rude. Acted like he really didn’t want to be there. We ordered our drinks and three of us paid for them. One of my sons opened a tab. Gave his credit card and got his drink. The bar was mostly empty. We sat at a table for maybe half an hour and my one son that opened a tab ended up only having one beer. We decided to go get something to eat so he closed out his tab. Didn’t get a receipt and come to find out that they charged him $25 for one beer. I don’t know if this is a normal scam going on here but watch out if you open a tab. We won’t be back mostly because of the attitude of the bartender but getting scammed is not very good as well. If you are going to work in food service it might be a good idea to be at least polite to people and show some...

Located in downtown Elizabethtown, this bar is know for their extensive bourbon collection. They have over 400 bourbons plus craft beers, cocktails and live music.

Located in a 1887 building, the bar is split into 2 sections. One area is the main bar with seating and the other section offers a small stage with live music and seating.

There are no food options but plenty of bourbons to try!

I tried an 18 yr old Knob Creek that was one of their drink specials for only 9.00. My wife had an Old Fashion.

In my opinion, this is your best option while visiting Elizabethtown to try bourbons at a good price in a...

I had to give this place 1 star to be able to rate at all. Actually it's a minus, however many it takes to descibe a horrible experience all around. Terrible service, atmosphere , management. Very rude people there, unappreciative towards customers, definitely needs a class in manners and how to run a business dealing with the public and paying customers. Worst place I've ever been and worst night I've had in many years. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR HARD EARNED MONEY THERE. IT DOESN'T DESERVE EITHER.

Thanks for the chance to save others from making the same mistake as myself. ...

We had a great experience here. Feels super local and the crowd is down to earth. There was live music in the other room. They had quite a few beers on tap when we were there...check out the menu on the chalkboard. Then there was a spirits menu with 150 options and some flights. But the bartender said that really was a very partial list and that they had about 600 options on the wall. We tried whistle pig 6 yr, the Eagle Rare 10 yr, Old Scout 13 yr, and the 1792 full proof. I had the Fat Tire beer. Note: the “tall” is a bigger size ;) I would highly recommend this place!

Right off the historic downtown square, in the little town I grew up in, sits a special place to relax. Bourbon Barrel has a chill vibe on this Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Tried the old fashioned and happy with my choice. If you find yourself in E-Town for an evening, swing by and you might even get some live music.
