If you go, please reply with your experience and rate this review thank you This is my first visit to Cheddar’s Scratch Kitchen. I decided to treat my mother to lunch as we both have wanted to try it. Our Host and Server we’re outstanding and we thanked them for their work. Here are some “Must Try!” items. Honey Butter Croissants & Wisconsin Cheese Bites with Marinara (Mini Mozz sticks). These two items are as divine as they are devilishly good. Thankfully, my mother’s meal had no issues, sadly mine had a few that knocked me for a loop. I ordered the “NEW” 14 ounce Ribeye Medium Rare, side caesar, Loaded Baked Potato, and Homemade Coleslaw. Although it was delicious, here are the issues I had. The back of my Ribeye was all fat. Exactly half I had to cut away and now I’m left with a small “patty” just under the size of my palm. Next, when I go to a steakhouse or restaurant and I see any form of “Baked Potato” on the list, I do not have to second guess what I will be getting. Out of nowhere came a little Buffet sized ice cream saucer with almost exactly 2 big tablespoons of Mashed potato, with a dab of butter and sour cream sprinkled with shredded american cheese. My heart sank. I did not know what to think at all! Finally one thought hit me; I just ordered a $17 steak, that I had to remove half of, then I only get two and a half bites out of the center of some Loaded Baked Potato that probably fed 3 people when I know if I was spending $17 I best have the Whole Loaded Baked Potato! What really sucks though, is that the food was good as was the service. Therefore I can’t really complain to anyone about it. My review rating stands at 3 Stars. We will not be returning.

Took my gf's mother here on a Sunday night, as it's one of her favorite places in Elizabethtown. I hadn't been to a Cheddar's in awhile, and I really enjoyed this one. Immediately upon walking in I loved the decor and atmosphere. It's simultaneously both laid-back and casual but also feels upscale and sophisticated. It's both a place you could go to watch the game at the bar, and a place you could take your family out for a nice meal. I had the 6 oz sirloin and half-rack of ribs with steamed broccoli and a loaded baked potato, and my gf's mother had the chicken-fried steak with green beans and mashed potatoes + gravy. I also decided to try the Buffalo shrimp for an appetizer. And I got a tall beer. The portions here are amazingly generous. My gf's mom got the absolutely biggest chicken-fried steak I've ever seen. Even though my steak was 6 ounces, between that and the ribs and the sides I still had plenty leftover to take home with me. The Buffalo shrimp was also delectable, just the right amount of heat without being too much. The steak was decent, but Cheddar's ribs are out of this world. The meat was so tender it slid right off the bone. Definitely get the baby back ribs if you get a chance! The prices here are also more than fair for the amount of food you get. Between the two of us I spent under $60 before tip, and that's including the appetizer and the drink. This is a great place to take the family or your significant other for a night out without breaking the bank. If you find yourself in Etown and you're hungry, come to Cheddar's!

Tonight was my wife's and my first visit to Cheddar's. Our first impression of it was something along the lines of "not bad for a steakhouse", it seemed comparable to other chains like Longhorn Steakhouse or Outback. However, after we ordered our food, our expectations were rapidly blown out of the water. We expected to wait 10-15 minutes after being seated to meet our waiter, but Malichai presented himself almost immediately to take our drink order and serve us two scrumptious and flaky buttered croissants. Our waiter (despite having multiple other tables to serve) seemed to appear just when we needed him throughout our visit which really showed his commitment to attending to our every need.

This place has to have the fastest cooks in the business. Our appetizer arrived before we had finished our croissants, and our entrees were served before we finished the appetizer. Compared to other comparable restaurants, this was incredible and by far the best in this category.

Now about the food. Of course it was all hot and fresh and absolutely delicious, not to mention beautifully prepared and presented. Other places seem to have a very commercialized and "fast-foody" quality about them that makes you question whether you could have just made it yourself better and cheaper. The food here was perfect. Flavorful and steamy and creamy and just plain good, so much so that I could not stop myself from finishing all that I had ordered. I had the 14oz ribeye and let me tell you, it was cooked to order, crispy on the outside and juicy and full of flavor on the inside. My wife had steak and a generous helping of shrimp over seasoned rice. Her shrimp seemed to taste better and better as you chewed it. Amazing!

As far as cleanliness and decor, the restaurant was very clean, and the decor was tasteful and eye catching without being obnoxious. The very large custom fan in the main seating area was a wonder to just sit and watch.

The pricing was right within the expected range for a restaurant like this. For my 14oz steak and two sides I shelled out a measley 18 bucks. My wife's steak and shrimp with two sides totalled 16 dollars. And each of our large specialty adult beverages were around 7 dollars each. Our meal (2 buttered croissants, 3 sweet teas, a large margarita, a good sized long island iced tea, huge texas sized nachos, 6oz steak and shrimp with rice, 14oz steak, 2 loaded baked potatoes, mac-n-cheese, broccoli casserole) was $71.67. I've paid over $100 at outback for a similar selection.

Overall, the visit was a total pleasure and we will be returning here for more of their beautiful selection of fresh gourmet food. I highly...

I visited this restaurant recently with a group of four and feel compelled to share our experience, particularly regarding the service, to help inform other diners and hopefully provide constructive feedback to the establishment.

The evening began with significant delays in drink service. Two mixed drinks our group ordered arrived well after our food, and when they finally came, they were noticeably diluted from sitting too long. Throughout the meal, we found ourselves having to seek out other staff members for basic items like straws and drink refills, as our assigned server was rarely present.

When our server did appear, she explained her absence was due to being busy with other tables. This was puzzling, as the restaurant was notably quiet with only two other tables we could see in her section. We later noticed these other tables expressing concerns to management about the service quality.

The payment process was particularly problematic. When using a gift card for a portion of the check, it was incorrectly applied to the other couple in our group's bill. When this was brought to our server's attention, we were told nothing could be done to correct it. The other couple ended up saying they would Venmo us the difference as the server would not do anything to correct it. After this, our credit cards were initially charged to the wrong bills, though this was eventually corrected after a 10-15 minute delay. Instead of explaining the situation, we were simply told the computers were down. While there were a number of service issues while we were there, this bothered us the most as we were treated as if it was our fault that the gift card and credit cards were charged incorrectly, even after informing the waitress we would splitting the bill and showing her which of us should be on each bill.

The food we received was good and while I understand that everyone can have an off day, the consistent issues throughout our visit and lack of proactive communication made for a...
