Please share this review with corporate HQ. During these difficult times of covid..while driving back to our camper (Home for 3 mos during our transition to ft Knox) I decided to treat my bride to a McAlister sandwich. We pulled up to the Elizabethtown location and I called the call center..for a second I thought I misdialed and got a telemarketer trying to sell me a car warranty like earlier in the day..but no, it was a automated dial select call center , after several minutes (mind you we're parked outside the store observing proper covid guidelines) so again after several minutes talking to a thickly accented order taker somewhere outside of the US and giving my card # twice (I'm wondering now if I fed a whole family some sort of local curry takeout) So anyway after the order taker takes my info. Something was mumbled to me about 20 minutes.. okay..I waited 10..went in to check the status..mind you..im literally 40 ft from the counter outside..they never received the SUB CONTRACTED CALL CENTERS ORDER..now I'm frustrated tired. And hungry.. The in store employees were extremely gracious and took my order of a French dip and Jalepeno turkey crunch..while they waited for the order to come from Six thousand miles away via fiber optic cable..meanwhile my order taker is enjoying their curry takeout with his family. I order loaded nachos (as I'm starving by now withering away waiting for modern technology to send the order in from the SUB CONTRACTED ORDER TAKERS SOMEWHERE SIX THOUSAND MILES AWAY.
No order arrived..the manager was kind enough to comp our sandwiches (which she shouldn't have to do due to poorly SUB CONTRACTED ORDERING CENTERS). I did pay for the nachos and will return this week with a gift to help feed local families. Instead of the call center why not hire some under employed youth who could be sitting at your empty tables right now taking orders on a laptop and interacting with the local community.. So when all you McAlister Execs sit in on your next mtg gloating on your NASDAq results listening to Janice from marketing (who just graduated last year w a 1.8 average) describe the cost effectiveness of using Sub contracted outsourced call centers , your consumer confidence is slipping away and your profits are nose diving because now all of your former local employees who you furloughed due to covid can't even afford to buy your affordable quality made sanwhiches. So what gets cut next..Your Quality Or your HORRENDOUS OUTSOURCED CALL CENTER WHO BUY NOW JUST BOUGHT CURRY FOR THE WHOLE BUILDING.
HIRE LOCAL SHOP LOCAL PROFIT LOCALLY THEN GLOBALLY.
BTW....
Read moreI normally eat lunch at this McAlister's at least once every other week and have for the last 3 years. I'm used to them being efficient, with good quality and we'll prepared food, friendly faces and a focus of getting people in and out of there during the lunch hour. That's a great time to visit them, during the week during lunch hour cuz they are on fire. But whatever you do, stay away from them on a Saturday night. The workers are a bunch of lacking motivation Gen Z'ers, they have no sense of urgency, no concern about customer satisfaction and no concern about quality of service, food or atmosphere. This is the most disappointed I've ever been in McAlister's. Not only did they get every aspect of our order wrong including all the modifiers, but also all the side items. I asked for potato salad with my sandwich and it was not packed in the to go bag. My wife ordered the Southwest Salad and asked for no chips and no cheese and instead they gave her chips and cheese and no chicken. The portions of avocado and lettuce were much smaller than normal. Look at the photo below. On top of that, the order sat up on the counter ready to go for almost 3 minutes before somebody decided to take care of it and call our name. I've been dealing with my McAlister's for so many years I know what they're about so it's really hard to blame the company for this experience. But they hired this crew and they need to be better trained and make sure they understand that the customer is the priority, not their tasks and their gossip and being on their phones. Would recommend anytime but a...
