Our waitress was very polite. The problem we had was, the special of the day when we went was a BACON swiss mushroom burger for 8$. That is what the chalkboard sign said out front, so my wife orders that burger because it is her fav. Now upon getting the burger, my wife take 3 bites, and notices there is no bacon on her sandwich, and the cook decides on his own to add grilled onions to her burger which she does not like or eat. It took the 3rd bite to hit and onion I guess. So, I brought this up to the waitress and she said there is no bacon on a Mushroom Swiss burger, to which my wife replies..." Go look at your sign outside". Upon her return she says she does not know why it says that on their own sign and needs to go talk to the manager. Now I'd like to tell you the manager came to our table and apologized for the mix up and offered to make her a new burger....The Right Way. But if he did do that I would not be writing this paragraph......đ. What actually happened was the waitress came back to our table and told us the manager and the person who wrote the Day's Special had a mix up while writing the kind of burger for the Special of the Day. She then proceeded to shrug her shoulders like......"Our Bad". So I said ok and she was about to walk off and I said, can I please get the bacon that was never put on he burger to begin with, and also told her for future reference, a Bacon Mushrolm Swiss Burger has NO onions. That is the whole preface behind the name. If the cook decides on his own to change up a REGULAR order item, then the waitress might do her job better, if she let the customer know that the cook adds onions where they normally aren't, when they place their order, so as not to happen what did to my wife. Very long story short, she didn't finish the burger or the season fries. We left...
Read moreJust left boomtown and I am extremely frustrated by the manager Kyle. I rarely make complaints but I ordered a Cuban and when it came out I went to take a bite and immediately smelled the smell of a musty dish water. Took a bite and the meat instantly tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for days and had gone bad. I sat and ate the sweet potatoes fries till the waitress came. Told her the fries and boomin onion were great but the meat on the sandwich tasted like it had gone bad. I asked for them to take the sandwich off since i had only take the one bite and id pay for the fries. She was apologetic and left. She came back apologizing and said the best the manager would do is 50% off my meal. I said it was not her fault and asked to speak to him myself. He was immediately condescending and rude saying there was nothing wrong with it and he wouldnât take it off just because I didnât like it. I tried to explain that only One bite was consumed and it tasted like it had gone bad. I could understand if I had eatin the meal. Honestly couldnât believe his bad attitude about it. Waitress was amazing. Donât blame her one bit. Let me just say I have never had problems with the food or service there. The...
Read moreStopped by Boomtown after a very long day with a group of about 25 people an hour before closing. Our waitress, Amber, was amazing. She was incredibly kind, funny, personable, and her attitude was great after having such a big group come in. The food was good, but not great, but Amber is the reason me and my group had such a good time. She was super attentive and did an excellent job with such a big group so close to closing time. Amber, youâre awesome, and thank you so much for the phenomenal service! After a long day working, your friendliness and warmth was exactly what we wanted.
I hesitated adding this part, but I will say the GM wasâŚless than ideal. And thatâs putting it lightly. When I tried to compliment our waitress, the GM was surprisingly negative and said things like âshe talks too muchâ. Itâs the service industry! We went there to be served! You should be happy that your waitress made the customers feel so welcomed! Iâve never had a GM debate me before when all I wanted to do was make sure the waitress got the recognition she deserved.
Anyway, if you go to Boomtown, ask for Amber. Trust me, you wonât be...
