Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Elkin

Regarding the Pizza Hut in Elkin- While the take out food is very good still, I have to say I have never seen a more lousy lunch buffet. There were a few pieces of nearly burnt cheese pizza available that had been there awhile. Three pieces of ham and mushroom, and one piece of pepperoni and sausage. There was some sauce in a pan with a single breadstick available. No pasta or anything like that. And that apple cinnamon dessert pizza. I wouldn’t touch anything with ham on it due to personal taste, so we were left mostly with burnt cheese thin crust pizza as an option. When, after no more than 10 minutes of having been seated the waitress brought the check, I asked if more would be brought out. She seemed rather indifferent to the state of the buffet but said she “would tell them”. After waiting a few more minutes, we just left. It was $14.52 for an adult and a six year old to consume next to nothing. There was hardly anyone else in the dining room and not a lot going on the kitchen from what I could see, so I don’t know what the issue was. I can only say that if it’s no longer cost effective to provide an acceptable buffet, and if decent wait staff is too difficult to recruit (and I understand that may very well be the case), they may want to reconsider the way they do things. terrible service. i called earlier to place an order for 12 lemon pepper wings. the first time i called, a man answered and when i said i wanted to place an order for pickup, he hung up on me. i figured it might’ve been an accident, so i call back. the same guy takes my name and number and takes my order. he puts me on hold for about 4-5 minutes, so i hang up and call back AGAIN. when i ask him if my order was placed, he said “no? this is a call center. i’ll transfer you to the store”. i hung up and went in person to try and place my order. when i get there, i tell the man about what happened and he just shrugged and said “i got busy”. there were no cars in the parking lot and nobody in the lobby (because the lobby was closed). i asked him if i could just get my wings and he said no because the fryers were broken. i went back outside, and received a text from my MIL saying that she tried calling to place the order and she said they hung up on her 4 different times. i went back inside and told him this while his manager was standing there, and i confronted him again about hanging up on me while his manager was standing there and he said “oh that was the call center we don’t receive calls here.” i’ll never...

Ordered and an order of cheese sticks. Watched the waitress give another table our cheese sticks. You could clearly tell by the look on their faces that they did not order them, yet they gladly started eating them. Waitress then brought our pizzas to us and we asked her where our bread sticks were. She apologized and then proceeded to go over to the other table and attempt to take the bread sticks and give them to us. We told her don't worry about the bread sticks . She still had the cook make a regular order of bread sticks and attempted to give them to us. When she brought them I gave them back to her and told her I said not to worry about them and furthermore I ordered cheese sticks, not bread sticks. When we went to pay the bill they attempted to make us pay for the cheese sticks and never offered to make things right with us. It was only after I refused to pay for the bread sticks that she finally took them off of the bill.
