This was literally my favorite restaurant to spoil myself and family when I could. Number #1 reason was the only place I ever tasted the best made chili in my life. Even if I went for a drink I'd always order a bowl of chili, when ordering take out I ordered a bowl of Chili, if i could have bought a whole tub or shipping container I would have. Recently for my anniversary, my wife and daughter decided to surprise me with dinner at my favorite spot. Oh I already knew what I wanted the moment I sat down. My heart about broke in half when I started with I'll start with a bowl of chili, only to have server state that they no longer have chili as it wasn't selling or something like that. Don't get me wrong, they always provide excellent service and all their food is absolutely delicious but man what turned me on from day 1 was that chili. Luckily my wife found the receipt via the internet but man it just stinks having a place your so in love with because of a favorite dish, remove that dish you long for at the end of a hard work week, or celebrating something and rewarding yourself with that awesome flavor that makes you crave it more the next few days leading up to pay day and saying "Time for Chili's famous Chili" . I'll still pop in from time to time but my whole frequent visits was the result of that awesome dish that I'm truly broken up over. Perhaps I'm dramatic but guys you really don't understand the loyalty that dish created for me from the first to the last dish I will miss that awesome chili, if i would have known the last time I had it was "the last time i'd have it" I would have requested to buy any and all that was left. lol heck I have no problem heating it up after storing it in the freezer as it really was the best my taste buds ever had the pleasure of enjoying. Hope to pop in, in the near future, but that dish was everything to my dedication to this place and I'm beside myself that it's gone. Thanks for the many years of some awesome...
Read moreI originally was hoping to give a outstanding review of this specific chilis. I had a baby shower for January 6th, I had called around November speaking to a manager at the christiana chilis and they refused service saying that they try not to do catering & will not know what they have in stock until the morning of my party which would obviously not work for me. So I called the elkton chilis & they seemed more then helpful. I spoke to the manager in November and he gave me a price, I told him I would call back in December when I figured out how many people were officially attending. This managers name is Phin. I tried to call back in December, left a couple messages and never heard back. I finally was able to ger ahold of another male manager who's name I can't remember and I went over the adjusted food and new total with him. He assured me everything would be fine and that he would be there Saturday morning to make sure it was done by 11am. I was running late to grab the food Saturday morning so I called the store to let them know and no one knew about my order AT ALL. I asked if Phen was there and they said yes, he never even got on the phone. I had to give my order all over again, with a cashier who didn't really understand so I had to keep repeating the order. They said it wouldn't be more then 10 mins, I live in newark and by the time I got there I was still waiting for my food. Imagine if I never called to tell them I was running late. They said they had no idea about this order at all. They really dropped the ball on this and it made a already hectic day worse. I wouldve made a fuss at the time but I was already delayed. No manager ever came out to speak to me, no one apologized and no discount was applied to the order for the inconvenience. Im very disappointed and wish I could've wrote that this chilis saved the day but unfortunately it was the...
Read moreI will start off by saying that the server we had was very nice and compassionate. My father and brothers order were wrong, they ordered the 6 crispers and only got 4. Our server brought out 4 more chicken crispers. Which was no big deal to them. My brother however got sick from the crispers when we got home. Won't go into detail. But he was stuck on the toilet. (Which I have been sick from the crispers as well) Now to my order. I got the bacon rancher burger. I asked for well done. It seemed well done but the lighting in that place is so dim. Well I took a few bites and was kinda over it. Fast forward to 6am the following morning. I woke up from a dead sleep and was completely sick. I have been laying next to my toilet for hours. Just vomiting. I went downstairs to check my burger to see if it was well done. NOPE!!. It was pink. So I broke it open all PINK like it was not even cooked. I immediately was upset and threw it away. I had to call out of work today due to me vomiting and being stuck by my toilet. Please avoid this place. I know some of the servers are good. But I have gotten sick from this location 3 times now. I avoided the crispers this time because that's what I have gotten sick from the last 2 times. Now a burger!!!!. Not only did I get sick from this place but also while we were there the people in the back were screaming and laughing. Just a poor environment. Couldn't even enjoy our time there. I will be avoiding this location and...
