Oct 2023 We came here for lunch on a Sunday. The place is a bit small and difficult to spot, located at the back of the building (at the bottom of the hill), at the corner next to a MMA gym, with the entrance located behind the only tree next to the building. There is free parking both in front and behind the building, though the back of the building is less busy since the front faces the rest of the shopping center. For those who park in the front, there are stairs on the side of the building (not the one next to the main road) that lead down to where the restaurant is. I'm not sure if there's an elevator.
The inside is very open and bright, with one short wall and some potential wooden hanging dividers. There are about 14 tables ranging from 2-6 people capacity. The aisles between tables are pretty big since they use carts to deliver food. There is a pretty obvious sign in front of the seating area that states that plastic bags ($0.10) and takeout containers ($0.05) are an extra charge. There are two bathrooms in the back, one male and one female.
The staff were friendly and polite but not very attentive. We mainly saw them when ordering and delivering food but that was it. They didn't refill the waters and people had to flag them down for the check when they came by delivering food for other people. They were not very proactive.
To start off the food, they give you 10 free small appetizer plates: beansprouts, broccoli & carrot, egg rolls, seaweed, kimchi, barley wheat jello, spicy pepper, soy onion & garlic, miso cabbage, and spicy cucumber. You can request free refills for these 10 plates.
We ordered a good variety of food. My favorite was definitely the La Short Ribs, very tender and easy to eat. I would say the best korean short ribs I've tried so far. The seafood pancake was good though a bit too wet, not crispy. The Jokbal was subpar and you could get better at Lotte Market, which says a lot. The Beef Bibimbap and the Chik Naengmeyon were both very good.
Overall, good food and minimal service. May or may...
Read moreWooRi Jib is an amazing small Korean restaurant! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the host and seated, it was the first time I've been to a Korean Restaurant so I had a some questions picking out since everything was completely new to me but the waitress was very kind and gave me some recommendations on foods I should try! I ended up going with the Fried Dumplings as the Appetizer and the Pork Tonkatsu as the Main Dish as you can see in the photos attached in my review! To my surprise as well you get a large amount of side dishes that can be refilled at no cost upon request too which really stresses the value you get for your buck. Getting to the food I ordered the Fried Dumplings were really delicious and had really good flavor and the dipping sauce it came with really added to the flavor! I highly recommend trying it! Now the Pork Tonkatsu was also really good, the Pork was cooked beautifully, it was crispy on the outside since it is breaded, but the pork on the inside was really soft and delicious! And it wasn't dry like some other places I've gone to in the past that overcook the pork to the point where its too tender. The Pork Tonkatsu also comes with a Fried Egg Over Rice and Cabbage with a really good dressing on top which I forgot to ask about, it also comes with its own dipping sauce that I also recommend trying too!! Again I highly recommend trying out WooRi Jib if your around the Ellicott City/Baltimore Area! In addition the waiters were very attentful as it started to get busy around dinner time since it was Friday (6/30)and always checked in with me and the other tables if we needed anything! Overall I really enjoyed dining at this restaurant, the amazing service and I will definitely be...
Read moreMy husband and I arrived at this establishment excited to have a date night post COVID-19. This was our second time visiting here and we were extremely excited to eat here again due to the quality of food and amazing customer service. Needless, to say this would be our last visit. I proceeded to order the Vegetable Bibimbap and my husband order the Seafood soup. We live for the amazing Korean sides but, this time you can tell everything was store brought and flavorless. Next, the main course arrived. My dish arrived in a regular bowl in which my husband proceeded to ask the waiter for a hot stone bowl to cook the raw egg. The waiter then walked away from the table to speak with the owner of the restaurant (a older women who usually sits in the corner monitoring how everything is ran). She later return to say she didn’t understand so my husband who is Korean explained to her that usually when I order the dish it comes in a hot stone bowl. Simply fix just provide the customer with a hot stone bowl. We weren’t asking for a new dish just a hot stone bowl to cook the egg. The waiter explained that what I was asking was something totally different on the menu and I would’ve to open something else. Epic fail! Way to lose a loyal customer.
My husband hated his food as well. The soup was flavorless with little to no seafood and mainly noddles.
Save yourself the energy and time and try another restaurant on Korean Way. It’s many to select from. We will not Parton this establish again. Terrible customer service...
