Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Ellsworth

I gave the owners a few days to respond and the only one I got was an emoji laughing face. Yeah, really. Here is what I wrote them last Saturday. Can safely say I will never go back there again and I will let people know of this experience as well.

Hello, wanted to give you a chance to respond before posting a public review. My best friend and I went to BH yesterday afternoon. I grew up in Ellsworth and have been back for about six months. I bragged to him about how iconic your place was. I NEVER eat ice cream, almost literally. When I indulge in sweets or desserts, I want something worth it. Yesterday was, unfortunately, highly disappointing. We both got the blueberry pie "Nor'eastah". A "specialty" flavor, which is apparently why each one was almost nine dollars. It was basically blueberry soft serve with sandy graham cracker crumbs poured in a pile and topped with whipped cream. It was just not good. I honestly wish we had just gone to DQ and got a blizzard, or maybe tried your hard serve. The inside counter near the registers was filthy, as were the tables outside. Sticky and full of jimmies and crumbs. So much for iconic--I guess things have changed. It was over 20 dollars for these two items. I work hard as a waitress and I know the restaurant industry has had to raise prices, but... I'm just really disappointed and it's not what I expected at all. Thank...

Seams as if the people working this year are rude the frist time i went this year we ordered 5 ice creams and that when ok the we were getting our ice cream and that had started to go ok but theni went to get the banana boat the girl that handed it to me was rude then i gave it to my boyfriend and went to get mine and got mine fine but when i got back to the car the banana boat was all wrong it was drowning in whip cream and 2 out of the 3 scoops were wrong and he had only noticed it after eating half a scoop and when i brought it back the girl was extremely rude and said when i brought (what is wrong with it ) isaid this is not how we ordered this could you please fix it so then says to me (well i didnt make it) then closed the window in my face and went to making a new one so i walked back to my car to wait but was thinking i shouldn't matter who made it and this dose not cover the second time i went and last year in the frist month we went 15 times and never got treated like that thanks for reading...

I came here back in September when I was visiting from out of state. I ordered 3 regular scoops of ice cream and after more than 10 minutes, I had still not gotten my ice cream.

I noticed that the people who ordered after me were getting their ice cream/milkshakes first. There were like 5 people who had ordered after me. I asked the girl making the drinks/ice cream about my order and she seemed pretty clueless. I remember she basically just told me to sit tight. There was another lady waiting next to me who mentioned that the girl had gotten her order wrong twice.

After like 20 minutes, I just canceled my order and got a refund. I didn’t think it would be so difficult to put 3 scoops of ice cream into cups, but it seems like that was too much of a task for Blueberry Hill Dairy Bar. Maybe it’s something in the water or air that makes people in...
