Very casual roadside eatery with indoor and outdoor picnic tables. Not busy on a Tuesday in June around noon. You pick a menu from a basket, decide what you want, and give your order to the cashier. They deliver food to the table which came in a very reasonable amount of time. About 6 beers on tap and another 6 or so in bottles. We had IPAs on draft which were good. They have wine which appears to come out of a box. Various non-alcoholic beverages as well which are self-serve from a cooler. Ordered the pulled pork sandwich, Maine lobster roll, clam chowder, and lobster dinner. The clam chowder was thick and had good flavor. However, the bowl we got looked more like a cup. The pulled pork was tasty as was the side of coleslaw with pineapple which was interesting. The lobster roll was a lobster roll. Nothing terribly special about it but it was good. The french fries are the string type. They were not very crunchy and looked pretty sad on the plate. However, the flavor was delicious. Most likely the fair amount of salt they were tossed with! The lobster dinner was the winner! A huge, steamed lobster that was perfectly cooked – no mushiness at all. The side of corn on the cob was so sweet and crisp. The plate came with melted butter and a small pat of butter for the corn. BTW – they also have something called a Connecticut lobster roll. I googled it and the difference is the Connecticut is served warm with a little butter instead of mayonnaise. All in all, a fine experience. Not cheap – about $120 for 4 people (and one person only had the clam chowder). But that seems to be the price you pay around here. We would return.

Got the pulled pork sandwich with fries and baked beans. Started with a bowl of clam chowder. Clam chowder had a great flavor with a good amount of clam pieces and bite size potatoes, but a little more liquid than I prefer. Over all, a nice New England style chowder. The baked beans had lots of barbecue sauce flavor and pieces of pulled pork mixed in. To me the BBQ flavor was a little strong and overwhelmed the flavor of the beans a bit too much. But, if you love BBQ sauce, you might really enjoy it this way. The fries were shoestring and were a weird combination of crispy and limp at the same time, not sure how they achieved that. Nevertheless, they were quite good although heavily salted. The pulled pork was delicious. Moist and a perfect balance of flavors. The portion size was a decent amount. If you're hungry, just the right amount. If you aren't, great to bring home for a second meal or a snack. You order and pay for your items at the counter. They give you a number and then deliver the food to your table. They have indoor and outdoor picnic tables to sit at. Glad I stopped by here for a meal.

Y’all... if you’re looking for BBQ that will make you feel like you might be in Texas- and Lobsta like you’re here in Maine look no further!! Total win on this find!! After 4.5 months here in Maine last summer and this summer for work- my world crew and I finally stopped in!! The service was great the food was delicious and we definitely will be coming back!! Prices are beyond reasonable for the amount of food you’re given. The baked beans are a definite must as a side dish. The brisket filled my always never ending need for brisket (I get Texas brisket in Houston often) and this was a very close relic to the goodness that is Texas Brisket lean, flavorful, falls apart easily. 5 stars 2 thumbs up however you wanna say it. The lobster was great as well!! The pulled pork my coworkers ordered looked and smelled amazing!! We will DEFINITELY be back and often now that we know we can surf and turf it!! Great food great atmosphere awesome service from some totally awesome servers!!! I can’t say enough great things about Acadia Lobster and BBQ!

Very disappointed with our meal. Our family had a great time here in 2015 and returned while on vacation in 2023. My grandfather had been looking forward to getting his lobster here all week, it was his favorite place to get lobster in the past.

upon arriving at the restaurant we were not greeted by any employees even though several were present and serving 0 other customers at that time. We walked into the restaurant and were informed the menus were outside. My grandfather and relatives ordered lobster , and I ordered lobster grilled cheese. It was $20 but I figured that, for the price, it must be pretty good. Unfortunately I was thoroughly disappointed as a scarce amount of lobster meat was actually on the sandwich, six or seven quarter sized pieces and the rest were cheese. The bread was nothing special, either. Now, this would be okay for a $4-5 sandwich- but for the price I was paying, and my only side being a corn on the cob, that was absolutely ridiculous. it was disappointing to be sure.

They expect you to CRACK YOUR OWN LOBSTERS which is A) not advertised or explained anywhere on the menus or billboard and B) a delicate process that most people are uncomfortable or unfamiliar with. It’s like a restaurant handing you a scaling knife and telling you to clean the scales off of your fish! My retired grandfather asked an employee if they could crack it for him, and was told that no, they don’t do that, the customers are expected to do it. It’s one thing to expect customers to do that themselves but it should really be more obvious. We wouldn’t have stopped if that was the case.

Overall with the exception of a younger employee (who did her best to be helpful) the atmosphere was dismissive and unwelcoming. It’s a shame as this place used to be a family favorite but we certainly won’t be returning again unless...

We were hungry for some good Maine lobster and bbq. I got the Connecticut lobster roll with a side of baked beans that was nothing special. $27. The amount of lobsters didn’t even fill the tiny hotdog bun. It was supposed to be drizzled with butter. What butter!!! It was as dry as an old shoe. I wish I could show the picture. Most expensive and least amount of food that I have ever bought in bar harbor. And I’ve had a lot of lobsters before. Took it to go. Got back to campground. Just realize I got ripped off!!!! Don’t bother wasting your time waiting. That was the other negative aspect. I basically wasted my time and got something I could get from convenient store for a fraction of the price. I’m never going back and would not recommend the CT lobster roll. My husband said the pull pork was ok. Onion ring slivers were too salty and greasy. As we were waiting, I watched the cashier talking to another customer over the cup of chowder that he was making. Not very sanitary! He’s been serving lukewarm chowder to customers and they asked him to zap the soup. The soup in warmer is wide open without covering. SMH…i later saw a guy telling the cashier boy to stop serving the soup. He was bringing more out. But the kid was serving probably non acceptable temperature soup to customers. I was in quality assurance. If I was conducting an audit on kitchen food process, He would not have passed and the restaurant would be fined. I attached my pic. All they gave me were lobster tips. This is so...
