I'll start by saying that the food here is PHENOMENAL. We were here on Saturday evening and I had the shepherd's pie and my boyfriend had the steak tip salad. For an appetizer, we had the wings. I can honestly say that these were the best wings I've had in ages. Both the wings and shepherd's pie were piping hot and very fresh. My boyfriend said that his steak tip salad was awesome. However, our server/bartender was absolutely terrible. I'm not sure if she is new or what the deal was, but she had absolutely no personality whatsoever, was not engaged with her customers, seemed very flustered, and she got our appetizer order wrong. We had initially only ordered 6 wings, but then immediately informed her that we had changed our minds and decided to get 12, which she acknowledged, but still only brought out 6. When we told her that we had ordered 12, she rolled her eyes and sighed, as if it was a huge inconvenience to her to get us the other 6 wings that we had ordered. Then, when she was adding whipped cream to our Irish coffees, she ran out and said, "I'll go get some more; be right back," but she never came back. We finally had to remind her that we were still waiting on whipped cream, to which she responded, "Oh, yeah..."
Our last gripe is that the Irish coffees were not that great and were served in TINY coffee cups....for $12 a piece!!!! For $12 a pop, we should be getting significantly larger cups and there should not be substantially more Bailey's than coffee. They were disgusting. We won't be ordering those again. Very disappointing.
Because the food was so great, we will probably come back, but we will definitely hope for a different server. The girl we had either needs more training or needs to...
Read morefter several years, my wife and I returned to Finn's, a restaurant that once topped our list of favorites in the area. Known for its signature dishes like mac n cheese, Reuben sandwiches, fish and chips, and the lime and sage potato salad, we had high expectations based on past experiences. Unfortunately, this visit left much to be desired. The mac n cheese, while passable, lacked the creamy, velvety texture that used to distinguish it. The Reuben sandwich I ordered was particularly disappointing; the bread was dry and overly crusty, making for an unpleasant experience. Additionally, the sauerkraut and corned beef were unevenly distributed, detracting from the balance of flavors. The mashed potatoes were adequate but unremarkable. My wife opted for the Dublin veggie sandwich and found it to be satisfactory. However, the once-favored potato salad fell short in flavor, leaving her disappointed. Overall, this visit to Finn's did not live up to its former glory, highlighting the inconsistency that can occur over time in culinary...
Read moreI visited Finn's Irish pub on Sunday evening with three friends. We had a meal that came to $101.80 After paying with my card, I was informed that they "lost it". Two young women behind the bar spent around 5-10 minutes searching for it but couldn't find it. They apologized but I couldn't shake the feeling that something wasn't quite right, especially with the three guys sitting at the bar.
I was told the restaurant was closing, so I provided my phone number for them to reach out to me once they found the card, but no one ever called. As a result, I had to cancel my card, which was a major inconvenience, especially since I was traveling.
To make matters worse, they didn't offer to comp our meal for the trouble, which I thought would have been the least they could do in this situation. Overall, this was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I won't...
