I go here once a week on and off after getting off the bus to use the bathroom and get a drink or snack I have always tipped even on a 5$ pastry then I get accused of dumping and diving because I didn't order immediately after the store got busy all of a sudden the owner is one of the most insufferable people you could meet which is sad because I like the shop I guess people can learn pastries but not how to grow up can't wait for the sarcastic response where you try to blame me like you do to all the other people that try to warn others about you I won't be going back again lol Edit: No I think that's exactly how it went and you can keep the money since that's the point of complaining about me right? Like I haven't been a good customer lmao what a joke Edit: I think you're definitely confusing me with someone else because I've never been in the bathroom for 20 minutes lol may have been one time I left without getting anything because I didn't have much time. I have never just grabbed a water I have never said I had no money and left. I haven't sat down at a table and left before either lmao. Is it fun for you to make up this narrative for people who you treat like crap then try tell others? I left because it got busy and I planned on coming back when it wasnt. Why do I have to waste my time waiting in your shop while I could get other things done then come back? Just to make you feel better?that's a bit insane. I love how you think me dropping off money is admission of guilt when you're the one trying to make me feel guilty for not spending enough money acting like I'm broke and homeless using your bathroom lmao I spent 300 before coming in your shop go ahead and keep the money since you obviously need it so bad I planned on coming back and ordering but I was disgusted with your attitude so I just left the money instead. I usually get a boba and it is not bs I always have tipped there may have been one time I didn't tip on a pastry. You were not polite you said "I need to stop dumping and dashing" accusing me of something I'm not doing. I have gone there so many times and given you so much business and this is how you treat people you are a disgusting person and I hope people see this...
Read moreOrdered 2 cinnamon rolls and 2 iced lattes. We took our pastries to sit down while they made the drinks. The rolls were dry, hard, and clearly a day or two old. When the coffees were finished, the two employees (one im assuming is the owner) slapped them on the counter and told us they were “all set”. Not a huge deal, but I was surprised being the only 2 customers in the place that they would have kindly brought them over as we ate. The coffee tasted burnt & the bathroom is a down a staircase to the basement that smells musty and sketchy. I wish I read the reviews closer before spending my money there. Will not be returning.
**Edited following owners response: I removed my comment about hearing your conversation as you’re right, perhaps it was heard out of context, so I’ll give the benefit of the doubt.
I’m not trying to be rude, but if those cinnamon rolls were baked today, some part of your process afterward is making them taste hard/dry as hell and we threw most of them out. As for the coffee, we got lattes, as mentioned. I’m sorry but they, too, ended up in the garbage can shortly after purchasing. I drink lattes almost every day and worked as a barista for 4 years. I know how they are made and know that espresso is stronger and has a different flavor. Again, I’m not trying to be rude but your espresso machine tasted burnt, and if it were my business, that is something I would want to know. Lastly, I’m aware that at a cafe such as yours, typically the customer grabs their crafted beverages once made. I guess I was taught that when the ONLY 2 customers are waiting for drinks while sitting down to eat, I would bring it out to them. I don’t hold that against you, it was just surprising on top of the rest of our experience. Some business owners go above and beyond to create a hospitable atmosphere and heed customer feedback as an opportunity to improve…and some others don’t. Thank you for taking the...
Read moreSo rude. No smiles. No thank you. Plenty of attitude. We were passing through and came in happy we found a coffee shop after miles without one. Greeted by a snotty girl at the register who looked like she’d rather be anywhere else. Behind her the “adult” in the room just DRIPPED condescension in every way. Buying several pastries didn’t seem to help in any way and instead exasperated them further. Shoved them into two little lunch bags, one of which broke open three steps from the front door sending said muffins/turnovers tumbling onto the road. The coffee roll was good. Our Americanos a comfortable 212 degrees.
Edit to add after your response🙄.
Ma’am you tell yourself whatever helps you sleep at night. Where I’m from, you’d be out of business fast, but since you likely have a lot of passing-through clientele, you can get away with it. You most certainly were not “more than polite” and it seems many before me have had similar experiences judging by the reviews I skimmed over. Maybe consider a little self-reflection. And when you asked where we were visiting from, it wasn’t to be friendly, but to somehow judge us. You might think you’re doing a good job hiding your disdain, but you’re embarrassingly transparent. It was the most uncomfortable, unwelcoming service experience I’ve had in...
