A must visit for any newcomer to western Pennsylvania, Pizza Joe's offers an array of delicious calzones, strombolis, sandwiches, and of course, pizzas. Occasionally a little on the greasy side (which is definitely not a bad thing), Pizza Joe's offers up square-cut slices of pizza nostalgia. It's a delightful joint, and whenever I visit my hometown, I insist on others experiencing this food.
I endorse this pizza with my stamp of approval. There is a great menu of regional styles that all taste great. Even a gluten free option--and pretty good one! Uhg! I usually LOVE veggie pizza, but this? Was DISAPPOINTING!!!! The broccoli was very fibrous and hard and in HUGE pieces with very little on the pizza (but with how BAD the broccoli was I was kind of GLAD there was less honestly 😑) and the ranch sauce was waaaaay too heavy, made it taste like nothing but ranch and gross chunks of inedible broccoli.
