I'm going to preface this review with the fact that I don't really like posting online reviews, in fact I've only ever done it before once on this account and three times on another account. As a result I tend to only leave a review of a business if something in particular stood out about it to me, I don't want to force myself to say something and as a result sound disingenuous if I don't actually have anything to say.
So to be completely honest most of my favorite foods are what most people would call a comfort food. When I go to a restaurant or a diner usually if it's on the menu (due to it being my favorite food) I'll order a couple grilled cheese sandwiches with a side of fries. Very rarely do I find myself ordering the thing that the restaurant I'm eating at is known for or specializes in. However, I can't say that's the case with Papa Luigi's. In my honest opinion they serve the best pizza in the area. I especially love their pepperoni pizza, it's absolutely phenomenal in terms of taste, and I find myself often wishing I was eating it instead if I'm at a party or something that ordered pizza that wasn't from Papa Luigi's.
Something else that stood out to me when ordering from Papa Luigi's is the fact that you can order curly fries if you want which (at least in my experience) not a lot of restaurants give you the option for. Personally I like my fries on the crispy side and curly fries tend to always be cooked like that so I like having the option for them. Plus they're filling and very tasty.
Lastly I must say two more things. The first is that as a person who tends to be rather introverted I appreciate the calming and often quiet atmosphere the place has when you eat inside. I find that a lot of restaurants tend to either choose music or have an absurd amount of televisions, or have an extremely large venue that result in the place being a little too noisy for my liking. The second and last thing I want to mention is that the staff here are extremely nice and kind as well as the perfect amount of attentive. My family's a bit on the poor side, but we're always sure to leave a 20% tip when we eat out as long as the service was okay, however last time I was there the service was so good I legitimately felt bad we couldn't afford more. Fortunately there were three of us there and we ordered take out for two more back at home so the dinner was fairly large so hopefully that made up for it.
I give this particular restaurant five out of five stars because I honestly don't have a single complaint about the place. I would 100% recommend this place to someone looking for a nice...
Read moreIt was the worst experience me and my wife ever had, we received a flyer from there for the second mouth in a row same waitress says that it was for other papa Luigi not there so we said ok it happens. So we order a pizza and eat and go home, so what do you think happens this passed Friday, we get another one so this time we call and the girl at the register. Went and asked the manager said yes if he has a flyer we have to honor it its the law. So we drive over and sign said seat your self so we did and guess what the same bregnet waitress came over and asked how could she help us. We said we would like the all you can it breadsticks and soup that's advertised in the flyer we received on Friday, she said its for other papa Luigi not are so we showed her the flyer now mind you this flyer had there phone number on it and address she said she had to ask the manager, she came back and she said he said no. I said really that isn't what I heard on my recording I heard him say you have to honor it its the law and he has a flyer, she said no I am not. We also heard her say she worked her the longest she will do as she pleases, me and my wife talked and we will never go back, cause that's the second time this has happened in a month we feel and this is only r apinnion they use the flyer to get you there you sit down and you say dam it we have a flyer and they say it's other papa Luigi not there, what r you to think, not going back for a lying waitress is what we are saying my recommendations is to fire her and go eat at other papa Luigi like she says thanks for listening David...
Read moreYou want the truth? The counter girl was pleasant, didn't have an issue with smiling and being kind. The pizza was a last minute "I'm starving and didn't think I could go another minute without a bite". The pizza wasn't something that I'd walk across the street for but it was filling. The reason for the 2 stars and 1 star is the building inside looked like it would fall at any moment. Too many missing ceiling tiles to number. Could visibly see where the roof was leaking in many different places i.e. the walls had bubbles in the paint and the wood was rotted. It is clearly visible. The place reminded me of a run down shanty in backwoods of Jamaica, you know where money is so tight that they reuse the coke bottles for cooking oil. I actually feel bad for writing this but after 4 attempts to delete the request for a "rating" I finally gave in. And the pizza gave me the runs, it was the pizza because it was the only thing I ate all that day and it was probably 3pm so no doubt it was the pizza. It might be a staple to the community or a landmark to the locals but I would personally never stop again. Probably get flack by the locals with a story on how the owners are sick and just trying to keep the doors open and pay for medical treatment, God Bless but if they feel so strongly about the establishment then pony up and volunteer the time and money to get the place in better order. If it was in any other town other then small town USA, it would be a code violation....
