Garden China — Restaurant in Elmwood Park

Ive been ordering with garden china for about 2 years faithfully. Never did I ever have a problem until today. I ordered my usual (shrimp fried rice with shrimp and broccoli and I decided to order a house lo mein with it). An hour later I get a phone call assuming they would be outside but no. They called to tell me that my food couldn't be delivered because they were very busy and I needed to spend over $35. They left me waiting for a whole hour so I told them it's fine as long as the next time I order I get a free soda or a complimentary side or something because they waited so long to tell me. MRS YANG or whatever you wanna call told me specifically "wait another hour for your food or never order from here cause you no get nothing for free over here " very rude. Never again will I ever order from disrespectful...

My issue isn’t with the food but with the lady who answered the phone. I was asking a question regarding the prices on the paper menu I had and instead of clarifying the prices for me , she started yelling at me and saying how I had a menu for 20 years ago and started telling me the menu I had wasn’t from her store but I got it a year ago when I lived closer to the area. I was confused as to what she was saying and asked her what the price was one more time and instead of answering it she yelled “DO YOU WANT IT OR NOT?” I kindly said no because she was being rude throughout the whole call. This place is terrible. Messed up the order which happens and never dropped off the replacement. When we called after 1 1/2 hours they told us it was delivered, not to our house. The employee was extremely rude and argumentative when we wanted a replacement. This place is lousy. There are so many better in the area that know what there doing. The food wasn’t even that good. I would never order from this place again. Stay away. This place should get zero stars. Hopefully they go out of business the owner refunded 15 of the order. I’ll give it 2 stars.
