Walgreens — Local services in Elmwood Park

Horrible!!! Not only is the line for the pharmacy so long everytime, but i had a 6 month birth control refill and every month when i would go pick it up for 3 months they told me i dont have another refill left. Rater than like at walmart when you have 6 refills you can pick it up on the correct date that its refillable and not have to go back and forth with the pharmacy and the doctor everytime. They had no idea. Today i called to ask them to refill the birth control it took 3 calls for them to actually do it and matter a fact the second time i called i got an email after the call saying it was delayed we are waiting for your doctors response..mind you i didnt get an mail the first time i called about anything which confused me and prompted me to call the second time. I called my doctor who said you have 6 months of refills, i dont know why they told you that you dont have it everymonth. you should be able to just go for six months once a month and pick it up. on top of that nobody faxed or called my doctor at all period. Now on the third month like im stupid the pharmasict after I complained finally says you only had a 3 month prescription (which was false if they called the doctor they wouldve known from the first month) I said so your telling me i onky had 3 months now after the 3rd month...as if im stupid.. i then called the other walgreens in elmwood park and she was lying to trying to stick up for the other pharmacy's actions i told the pharm tech not to stick up for them im not stupid i know i have 6 refills and your telling me i only had 3 after the 3rd month; when previously the last two months you were telling me i only had one each. Lying and trying to cover it up and not even calling the doctor but sending and email saying you rx is delayed my advice to you all is go to walmart in saddle brook or garfield they are way better they actually helped me rectify the situation now i have 6 months of refills here at walamart...

If there were zero, I would use it. I waited 45 minutes in 99 degree heat today for the drive thru. When it was finally my turn, they closed--BEFORE 5 PM, and they refused me service. When I said I had waited that long, the girl said "No, you didnt." But I did. She simply didnt see me because she only glanced for a few seconds before she closed up. I was there--I waited and waited and waited behind 2 black cars, and behind a white Mercedes SUV. My car is a small sedan. She didnt even see me tho I was right behind the SUV. I didnt get my meds. I was told I was a liar. But I told the truth. I missed seeing my husband who is in a rehab facility because I waited so long for the drive-thru. And for nothing. I will pick up my meds there tomorrow because I need them, but I will NEVER NEVER go to this Walgreens again. She was wrong about my waiting, and she was rude. It's OK to disrespect an honest customer? I have gone there for 40 years. But never, ever again. They have no respect for their customers. There has to be a better place than this....

Some of the staff is okay but some are about as sharp as a tree stump. I've been here a lot of times where there is one cashier with a line of 10 or more ppl while other workers are just farting around talking about how so and so looked the other night on tv. The one cashier, who's probably not going to be winning any scholarships from NASA is already slow as it is so why not open another cashier whend there's a lot of ppl instead of wait till there's 2 left. Also one time my total came to $41.10. I put $42 down but remembered I had change so pulled out a dime. As I was leaving I realized I didn't take my dollar back so when I went back in...I had to explain it to the girl who knew what she did and she finally gave in bc her line was getting bigger and knew she got caught in her bs. All for a dollar....a dollar I could have given to the many ppl waiting outside begging for money as you leave the store. Probably not going to visit this store anymore. 10 strikes...
