Update:8.14.2023 Bad day for the Foundry. Cynthia...I believe was our server. She didn't show any interest in us until TIP time. Then she actually talked to us some and was nice then. A difference from how she started. Wasn't super crowded. Did Gluten free ok. Have a Gluten Free menu, as I mentioned before. Autumn did a great job last time, but this time this different server scored not a lot of points. Started with the guacamole and salsa. Chips cold and stale. Guacamole was brown in some spots. We didn't eat much because it was kind of gross. There was some sort of sauce when we came last time that I was asked if I wanted... But this time I mentioned it and the server was just puzzled and moved on didn't want to hear about it. Ignored me pretty much. I asked about the fries this time and she said they would be cross contaminated so ended up with the chips. But had to wonder how they do the gluten free poutine if the fries are not gf? We had that last time and it was pretty good. I got the gluten free wrap that had Philly slices... Peppers...a horseradish aoli.. but all the aoli was piled on one side. Was really spicy. But the the other side was without. Asked for a bloody Mary and it came with nothing. No celery, no bacon (saw that in a photo from there). I was disappointed. Was super spicy l, tasted mostly of Tabasco. It came out long after the chips and guac. So we had nothing to drink while eating our app. I asked for an iced tea because the heat from the Bloody Mary was making me choke along with all that horseradish being on one side of my wrap. But she brought no sweetener nor did she ask if I wanted any. She asked us once after quite a ways through the meal if things were ok. Wasn't till then end when we were paying the check that she got friendly and stopped to chat with us a minute. We were really bummed because we drove an hour to eat there. But we won't be doing it again. Gluten free menu is exceptional. Had poutine for the first time. Gf!! Had a GF wrap that was in SO will done. Autumn was our server and did a great job. Can't get over how Good that wrap was. The inside was very cool. Nice decorations. Really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you! You should give it a try. We...
Read moreUnfortunately, we won’t be back. As a former restaurant owner, a negative review is not something I want to leave. We have been many times but the service is just awful. The food has always been very good so that’s not the problem here. Went back last night after a prior bad experience for another chance and our server was the worst we have EVER had. He advised us that a lot of their kegs had blown upon our table placing our drink order. Surprised that Bud Light was out, he says “Welcome to a Sunday at the Foundry.” Drinks come, we drink them and eat all our chips and salsa. Our server walks by multiple times from the 3 tables he has and doesn’t even look over one time. After being ignored and having no drinks (and our empty glasses sitting on the edge of our table), we got up and walked to the bar to get new drinks. Bartender just served us new drinks like everything was normal. Our table was one of the 6 tops against the wall when you walk in so it was evident there was an issue. Manager (or shift lead) who is behind the bar also also doesn’t say a word either. Food comes out, server says nothing as he sets it down and just disappears back into the kitchen. Luckily, the server, Nye (sp) was walking by and we asked her to take care of us as the other couple we were with was ready to walk out. She did and corrected my salad which came out with no shrimp as I had ordered. All during our meal, the manager NEVER once came to our table to ask what the issue was or to assist and get things back on track. Our table switches servers and is clearly the talk of the kitchen and the manager can’t be bothered. It still boggles my mind. We were offered a free drink but honestly just wanted to leave. If it wasn’t for Nye, we would’ve just walked out. Poor management will kill this place off if they don’t get...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed to have to revise my positive review of this establishment. Recent experiences have left me profoundly dissatisfied. Firstly, I received an email gift card for $11, which I will not be utilizing due to my intention to no longer patronize this restaurant. Secondly, I encountered an unexpected discrepancy on my bill. Despite signing for a $60 tab with no option to include a tip, my statement reflected a total of $72.43. Upon inquiry, I discovered that the server had unilaterally added a tip of $11.43 to my bill, in addition to the $20 cash tip I had already provided. Furthermore, one of my two ordered Jack and Cokes was inexplicably devoid of alcohol. I believe that the level of service did not warrant a 53% gratuity. To my dismay, the owner attributed this error to my alleged failure to carefully review the bill before signing. The manager similarly suggested that I may have inadvertently added the extra tip through an accidental signature. I firmly believe that I should not be responsible for safeguarding myself against potential financial improprieties committed by the establishment's employees. This unfortunate series of events reflects poor business practices. I sincerely hope that the $11 gift card in the photo is utilized by someone who may benefit from it, potentially mitigating any financial losses they might incur at this establishment. I wish you the...
