The Hive — Restaurant in Emmaus

The Hive is a nice sandwich spot in Emmaus. It's easy to pass since it's not directly on the strip. But If you find your way there you won't be disappointed. I had the $10 lunch special. Honestly, it was worth it! It came with a sandwich can of soda and a bag of chips.

The sandwich was good and full! (I added black olives on mine which is extra) and I was not disappointed. The bread had a nice firm crust on the outside and soft on the inside. (Not that firm that cuts your gums as you bite into it) There was a good meat-to-lettuce ratio and it wasn't overloaded with condiments. I asked for the works just because it was my first time and I wanted to experience it all.

Not a fan of the Chicken Caesar. I missed that it is Deli Chicken Lunch Meat (not grilled chicken). That in itself was a bummer, but then I didn't like the Caesar Dressing either. It said it was Creamy, but I found it to be more on the Tangy/Vinegar Side. The Pita was big and seemed like it had potential, but it was pretty tough and didn't seem overly fresh. If you like tangy, you might love this, it just wasn't for me. I would suggest trying something else if you are going for the first time. And I tried the Cheddar Mac Salad. I literally tried one bite, and decided that was not for me. It had way too much mayo or dressing...

My colleague and I are visiting here from Texas to do some work in one of our offices. We happened upon this place and spoke with one of the owners. Extremely friendly. When we got back to the hotel to eat the sandwiches, I have to say it was an experience! The quality is above 100%. I can definitely say without hesitation that this is the type of place that everyone should be eating at, or at least trying once because the quality of the sandwich and the taste and the flavor is superb. Where I to visit this office again I would definitely make The Hive an official stop during my visit and so...
