Braum's Ice Cream & Dairy Store — Restaurant in Emporia

I visited on November 17 2023, the time on my ticket is 6:52pm - I was getting ice cream from a younger guy, he dipped my first ice cream, then as I was starting to say my second ice cream order he cuts me off to tell an older gentleman that was working to quit eating in front of customers. The older gentleman had a very small piece of chocolate and I didn’t even notice him eating it till the ice cream guy said some thing. Just like how no body else was noticing it. The ice cream guy was rude to cut me off to yell at an employee. Older guy was cleaning tables. The older guy could’ve been diabetic or just needed a chocolate. I felt bad for the older man but didn’t know what to say when I was there. The older man said “ why do you guys always pick on me? I’m not doing any thing wrong”. My heart hurts for that older man and he doesn’t deserve to be treated like that.

Visited July 28 2024 also….. the jalapeno burger we ordered had no jalapeno on it, burger was cold. Fries were not fresh, they were cold and stale Asked for another burger with no sauce and sauce was in it. I think we give up...

Stopped in this store on the way back from Oklahoma to KC. Had stopped in one in OK which was very nice so decided to stop at The Emporia store which had terrible customer service. Ordered the chicken poppyseed salad and was told they didn’t have that even after I had paid. Was told to order something else so ordered chicken sandwich which was ok but fries were cold. Asked for mayonnaise to go on my sandwich and was told they didn’t have packets nor did they have any at the counter which we could use. Now, this may have been the case but the young woman was so rude that I have my doubts. I ordered a strawberry limeade that was so tart it was unbelievable. Went to the condiment station for some type of sweetener but it was so filthy I changed my mind. We weren’t the only ones who felt that way because another customer also commented. Tables were not cleaned so used hand cleaner and wiped it myself. There were several other incidents but I won’t go into those. Will not stop at this...

Delicious!!! Our family has been traveling for years the 90 miles or so (one way) from the Kansas City area down to the different Braums restaurants of Emporia, KS because they serve really good quality burgers, chicken, and ice cream at a great price!! The food is really good, not necessarily the best of all fast food places, but the ice cream, dairy, grocery store, and prices are what makes the difference. You can't get the variety of great ice cream flavors at prices like these anywhere else that I know!!!! I wish that they would open some locations up in the Kansas City area, but I think that I've heard that they try not to open locations that are too far from their dairy farms to get fresh products to their stores.......perhaps they'd entertain the idea of opening additional farms further north to expand their operations into Kansas City and beyond!!!!!😉 Or maybe they might at least ship their ice cream in freezer trucks to grocery stores in the...
