I'm writing this with the understanding that I visited the restaurant two days after their opening, so there are definitely things to be figured out but that's part of a new business! It was very disorganized and the staff seemed to be overwhelmed and confused (which I understand). If the kitchen staff is able to handle more tables at once I think adding additional seating would help a ton with the long wait time. The menu was much more limited than what I saw online and unfortunately after about 30 minutes of waiting when we went to order they were out of most of the items we were hoping for, which probably should have been mentioned to everyone waiting. However I will say we thought the food was GREAT and were very happy with every dish that we ordered. It was also reasonably priced. Despite seeming to be confused and flustered, the staff were all very friendly and definitely doing their best. All the negatives are things that can be easily worked out in the future and are just a part of a new business! Can't wait...
Read moreI recently dined at Dumpling Bar in Encinitas, and it exceeded my expectations! The cozy atmosphere combined with the fresh, handmade dumplings made for a fantastic meal. Their xiao long bao (soup dumplings) are a must-try—delicate and flavorful, they burst with delicious broth. The spicy wontons and pan-fried buns were equally impressive, offering the perfect balance of texture and taste.
The menu is well-rounded with options like noodles, wok-fried dishes, and even dessert dumplings for those with a sweet tooth. I also loved their refreshing Thai tea and boba milk tea, which paired perfectly with the food. The service was quick and friendly, adding to the welcoming vibe of the restaurant.
Overall, Dumpling Bar is a great addition to Encinitas, offering high-quality Chinese comfort food in a relaxed setting. Whether you’re craving a casual bite or a full meal, this spot is worth visiting for its exceptional dumplings and...
Read moreCame for dinner at around 5:30pm on a Wednesday. It was a bit busy, but the servers were very attentive, ensuring that every guest was well taken care of. Food was great, and the service was even better! My server was extremely helpful in helping me decide what to get, and her recommendations were spot on! I started with the beef potstickers and they were very juicy and packed with flavor. The chicken wontons and cucumber salad are a MUST, and the milk green tea was delicious. The custard bun was a great dessert to end the meal too. Every dish I tried was well worth it! The ambiance was very nice, the restaurant is a bit small but it makes for a good service. I enjoyed watching the chefs make the dumplings through an open window, which added to the experience. The overall vibe was very chic and sophisticated, definitely on par with other high-end restaurants. I would recommend this restaurant to all...
