The Mochi Donuts were made out of basic donut dough from a donut bakery. It was like they just put it into a Mochi mold. You can taste the fat and you could see the grease at the bottom of box. The donuts all tasted the same like a typical glazed donut. It was like they added some liquid to powder sugar and just added food coloring to give them different colors. The only one that had a different taste was the maple one, but it had fatty flavor with it. Also, to make matters worse all the donuts were way too sugary to the point where you can feel it coat your teeth, and it makes you feel nauseous. I literally think I don't want sugar for a couple of days. I have actually had other more Japanese style authentic Mochi Donuts that were made with Mochi Flour and actually had different flavors, colors and designs, and tasted good where they didn't make you sick. Save your money and go to a different place if you're craving a mochi donut like I was.

My favorite mochi donut flavor is ube. This place has an ube ball instead of a donut. It’s filled with ube, which I think needs to be paired with something - ube alone tastes weird like taro. Maybe it’s for people who don’t like sweet as much. I think they should make an ube mochi donut instead. Edit: They added “ube oreo” as a donut!!! If I went back, I would be much happier with that change! Otherwise, the mochi donuts were just ok. Not as chewy as I’d like.

I split a few different items with friends and everything was AMAZING. The Mochi Ball filled with vanilla was fresh, hot and absolutely perfect. My favorite donut flavor was Churro but the Glazed and Ube Oreo were close seconds. So soft and chewy. To drink, the Vietnamese Coffee was the best I’ve ever had. Donuts and drinks aside, the brand is so fun and the owners, Beth and Jordan, were so friendly. Highly recommend!

This place has been open in Encinitas now for a few months now, and it's definitely becoming quickly noticed, and for good reasons, too. The mochi donuts are bliss, and boba milk teas are first rate.

I had the churro mochi donut and the Tiger Milk Tea. The churro mochi had that perfect crisp exterior for that perfect bite, leading into that perfect soft, slightly chew center. The donut came with the perfect mixture of quality granulated sugar and cinnamon. They offer a variety of equally amazing mochi donuts, including crème brulée, cake batter, chocolate sprinkle, original glazed, cookies & cream, and much more.

The tiger milk tea was great. I had it with no sugar and was still very delicious. The assam black tea is freshly brewed each day, and it is of very good quality. The tiger brown sugar syrup was delicious. I am usually not a boba, but these made in house boba's were great.

The service is super friendly and welcoming. I like the way they gave a great run down of their offerings and future endeavors, like the soft serve ice that coming soon. It's such a...

We catered our party with a large amount of the cream filled Mochichis and they were an absolute hit with our party. Everyone loved them and were very intrigued to try something different that they've never had before. It made it very memorable and enjoyable to share such a nice treat with our family and friends. Everyone at Mochichis is very helpful, communicative and courteous. We highly recommend them for casual treats but also for large partys as they package everything so well it's very easy to hand them out for all to enjoy. 👌 Keep up the...
