I should start with how delicious their breads are, particularly the banana bread loaf, very tasty! However, the 2 star rating is because of their criminal profit margin. $30 for a LOAF OF BREAD! Now, I have thoroughly analyzed each and every ingredient, I happen to buy all of them regularly. I happily did an experiment and made this same exact loaf of banana bread, same exact ingredients and same size, guess how much it costs to make at home? $5-7 per loaf (depending on region and buying in bulk discounts etc.) Any bakery would buy their ingredients in bulk therefore it should only cost about $5 per FULL loaf to make, using top of the line flours for the perfect consistency, and organic pasture raised eggs, straight from the farm. Mine came out to taste exactly the same!! It is pure greed and just flat out criminal to charge $30 for a loaf of bread. If you’re rich and money is no object, find them at your local farmers market and try it out. But if you’re like 90% of the population and principle plays a factor here, like myself, then you should probably make this at home yourself for $5!!! Overhead and miscellaneous costs is one thing when running a business, but taking advantage of people and ripping people off is another. Their half loaf should be around $7-8 and their full loaf should be $14-16 and even that is still about a 75% profit margin!!!
